MAL RHEE WAS A LIGHT. During the world's breaking point, her entire family was killed. Well, except for her brother Glenn. Her sisters, devoured by the dead. Her parents, also devoured by the dead. Despite that, Mal chose to look on the bright side. She didn't lose her brother and she didn't lose her life. She decided that her family's last wish was for them to move on, to not dwell on their deaths and not let it dictate the rest of their lives, to survive and somehow find happiness in this new, cruel world.
Mal was very similar to her younger brother Glenn. They shared similar characteristics, something that may have been from their close age. They had the smallest age gap out of the rest of their siblings. They were also the ones to go on runs. Some might say they were experts at going out on runs. Mal may not have known how to work a gun - correction, she did, she just preferred a knife or any other sharp weapon so she barely used one.
In their small camp they called home, she was known as Mal or Malory. Malory sounded like Mal and Rhee put together, something her parents must have found hilarious. Most didn't know that her actual name was Malory Rhee, but they only called her that because, again, Mal and Rhee put together almost made Malory. The older people in the camp - specifically Dale - called her Malory.
But that camp was gone, people were dead, people had changed, and now they were back at square one.
