School went by quickly the following week and a half. I called Aaron over the phone told him that we'd only be working in the library from then on. It didn't faze him of course. He knew that I was mad at him because I was acting differently towards him, but didn't seem to care enough to ask me why. He probably knew about what Kelly did.

I tutored him professionally; up to hour after school, at the library, Monday though Friday. No kissing. No jokes. Just work.

Kelly had her little followers spy on us, as if they expected me to try something after their ambush. I would never go after a guy who already has a girlfriend. Let alone one that cheats. If I knew they were dating, I wouldn't let myself get out control so easily. I was naive and made mistakes, but I moved on. School-girl drama is the last thing I need on my plate. I have grades to maintain, a mother to care for, and a job.

Days were easy, mostly consisting of Meghan and Jade begging me to go to an illegal fight club downtown (Jade's idea). I knew Aaron was going to be there but couldn't come up with a less revealing reason as my excuse for not wanting to go. Eventually, the true reason why I gave in is because somehow Jade got Mark to agree to letting me sleep over at her house.

I feel guilty for leaving my mother alone with him for the night, but I think that she'll be fine. It's just one night- what trouble can she possibly run into? If I take time out of that shack, maybe some sanity will return to me.

"Come on!" Jade calls out as she leads me into the crowd. We stopped at Meghan's to hang out and then we changed clothes. She's now wearing black joggers with a white crop top and adidas. Her back hair is straight and she wears a jean jacket to keep warm. I'm wearing a pair of high waisted navy shorts and a white sweater.

Meghan looks like she dressed in her personality, wearing a torn Pink t-shirt, jeans and Air Forces while attending an illegal fight.

The fight club is hidden in an abandoned cement factory in the woods. It looked deserted at first, but we found at least a 50 parked cars in the back. Meghan, Jade and I go past through some guards who let us in without a hassle.

We open an old cement door, and walk down a flight of dark, dusty stairs. Kodak is blasting through speakers when we open the door.

The scenery is extraordinary- smoke fills the air with neon lights flashing in every direction. The large room is almost filled to the max. I feel more uneasy about our surroundings- gangs and obnoxious girls are everywhere I turn.

"You ain't talking money, I don't hear ya

You ain't gotta touch me, I don't feel ya

That skrilla, that skrilla, boy, I'm 'bout my skrilla

All my niggas monkeys, we gorillas"
