SHE WAS SO RIDICULOUSLY drunk.

That was the only thought running through Rory's mind as she looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. Cheeks flushed, eyeliner smudged and glossy eyes stared back at her as she leaned her body on the sink and tried to recall everything she had drunk so far.

There had been at least five shots of tequila with Omar and the rest of the guys, then maybe two glasses of gin and tonic while she watched Madison crush every poor - and unaware - soul on BP. There had been some beer bottles and she could faintly recall trying some unnamed blue drink one of the rookies had mixed for her.

In short, her hangover would be brutal.

But at least she still looked good in her square-neck bodysuit: her boobs looked fantastic and black was a great color for her complexion - which was all she could ask for at that point.

Although it would've been even better if someone else would've also acknowledged that. It was just frustrating that she had put so much thought into her outfit and had spent at least twenty minutes doing her makeup, and still the one person she wanted to show off to hadn't came anywhere near her the whole night.

"Don't" She whisper-shouted at her reflection "You're a strong-ass woman, you need no man" She adjusted her cleavage before turning around to get out of the bathroom.

The movement made her head spin and Rory decided she shouldn't drink anymore that night. Enough was enough.

She turned the doorknob and staggered back the moment the door opened. Her senses were delayed and she would've fallen butt first if it wasn't for someone catching her.

First thing she saw were ink-clad forearms, and then biceps covered in blue fabric and finally, familiar ocean eyes.

Did I just manifest him?

"Did you?" Collin asked, his body a few inches from hers.

"Hm?"

"Did you manifest me?" He said simply and Rory felt her cheeks getting even warmer.

He was either reading her mind or she had lost control over the words leaving her mouth - and Rory honestly didn't know which one was worst. Her whole body was blazing, but she felt something cold on her left arm. Collin was holding a water bottle and her arm - his hands were huge, she realized.

"Why are you always carrying water?" She digressed, trying her hardest to avoid eye contact.

"In case you're thirsty." The words were simple, and he probably didn't mean anything by them, but Rory still felt weak on the knees - luckily, he still had one hand on her waist and another one leaving traces of condensed water on her right arm, otherwise she would've buckled then and there.

"In case I'm thristy?" She stressed, the words sounding way more slurred than she'd anticipated "You're just prepared for my needs?"

Collin wetted his lips, taking a step back while his hands finally left her skin to open the water bottle "Why?'"He asked, stretching the bottle in her direction "Do you want me to be?"

And there it was, the opening she had been hoping for. Perhaps it was the fact that they were the only ones on the second floor, away from prying eyes and secluded from the rest of the party; or maybe it was the inhumane amount of booze coursing through her veins, either way, Rory felt the sudden urge to be risky with him.

"What if I do?" She said in cheeky defiance before sipping on the water, eyes finally meeting his blue ones.

His left eyebrow shot up and he looked almost conflicted "Are you saying that because you're drunk, or do you really mean it?"

"I'm not drunk" Rory replied in the drunkest way known to human history - she was a joke, but in that moment, she didn't care.

A grin broke on his face, eyes shining in mischief under the low light spilling from the bathroom "Are you sure?" He asked jokingly, tucking a strand of her hair behind her right ear "You drank quite a lot."

"How would you know? You didn't talk to me all night" Rory said without a second thought, the words sounding way more accusing than she had any business being "Were you watching me?"

"Yes" He replied without a beat, eyes stuck on her face like she was the most interesting thing he'd ever seen "And I didn't talk to you because you don't seem to like it all that much when I speak to you in front of other people."

Rory felt like she had short-circuited for a moment, her brain was a big mush of unintelligible thoughts and an insane amount of lust - she wasn't even sure if she could blame the alcohol anymore.

No, it was definitely not the alcohol, it was this guy in front of her. This guy that had been living rent free in her mind for the last couple of days and whom she felt the uncontrollable need to kiss in that moment.

"And now that you're finally talking to me" Rory said, taking a step closer to him "Is there anything you would like to say" She looked down at his mouth "Or do?"

Collin breathed in loudly, his tongue dancing between his lips in what she could only judge as tantalizing preparation "There are many things I wanna do to you and with you" His voice was almost a whisper, and as he drew his face closer, Rory could feel her stomach dropping and her breathing getting shallow. He was close enough, that his lips almost touched the skin on her left cheek when he said "But we're not doing anything tonight."

First off, don't kill me, please. Secondly, I would like to welcome all the new readers, I hope you guys are enjoying the story.
I know this is the biggest Wattpad cliche for writers, but I really had some tough couple of months, but things are way better now and I hope I'll be able to update more frequently from now on.
I hope everyone is staying safe - I had covid during my hiatus, and it was one of, if not the most, awful experiences of my life (and exactly one week before I was scheduled to get my first shot of the vaccine, just my luck I suppose). Anyway, stay safe and have a nice weekend
