"DAD!? HEY DAD!? CAN WE GO TO-" I walked into the kitchen finding a bright green paper hanging on the fridge.

I walked over to it and pulled it off.

' I got called into work, i'm sorry. Maybe we can do something after. I'm not sure when I'll be home.'

My Dad rarely gets called into work but he always makes up for it.

Balling the paper up I tossed it into the trash making it on the first shot. I jumped in the air while saying "Boom!"

I then opened the fridge and got orange juice and a bagel out. I put the bagel in the toaster and poured me a glass of OJ.

Once I was done eating I went to my room. I changed into a superman hoodie, black jeans, and a pair of Converse high tops. I didn't feel like brushing my hair so I put it in a messy bun.

Putting my phone in my pocket, I grabbed my skateboard and went down stairs. I grabbed the keys to the house on the way to the front door. Opening the front door, the fresh summer air hit me.

So clean and sunny outside. I smiled to myself and closed the door behind me. While walking down the street I tossed my skateboard to the ground, I pushed it with my opposite foot to get some air and I started cruising down the street.

I waved to the dog next door and picked up a flower while passing a bush full of them.

I smelt it and slowly picked its petals off. Looking up I seen a car coming my way so I skated up onto the side walk and ran into a group of girls.

Shit.

They all were whining about their hair, phones, clothes, shoes, you name it. I got up off the ground and rolled my eyes. While picking up my skate board I took in a deep breath.

"Why don't you watch where you're going! Rat!" A girl with hazel eyes and short blonde wavy hair said.

I rolled my eyes at the stupid nick name she gave me. "Brooke, I think is fair to say I'm sorry that I ran into you. But seriously?"

"Go away Greene, no one wants to see you rolling around here on your piece of wood. New flash, it's trashy." Brooke said. Her three friends who were with her laughed at her little comment. I only rolled my eyes again.

"Still playing with mommas make up i see, maybe some one should teach you to use that stuff" I said looking at the crazy amount of unblended eyeshadow she had on and the dark spots on her cheeks. Not to mention the very bright pink lipstick she caked on. Now i don't know much about make up but i'm pretty sure thats not how you wear it.

"You're the one that needs it" She replied.

"Not if I'll look like that. Move it barbie, I have better things to do other than talk to miss "I'm better than you" and her three wanna be's" I said and pushed them aside.

Brooke has been torturing me since elementary. This town isn't that big. I wasn't a star favorite around here. Unlike Brooke, she used to do pageants when she was three year old and for some reason she thinks she needs to keep up the act even though she hasn't entered a competition in years. I think she's a bit insecure but honestly she didn't have to take it out on me.

"I AM better than you Jade Greene! Just ask anyone!! You know they agree!" She yelled my way as I skated away.

I rolled my eyes one last time even thought she couldn't see it.

I went a few more blocks and got to the video store. I walked in and was greeted by a breeze.

"Hey Jade! What are you doing here?" Carter the guy that works the counter asked.
