"So Koji was a killer?" Steve asked. DK shook his head. Koji couldn't have been.

"No, he was with me during lights out," DK said and stopped to look at his friend.

"Why didn't you say something?!" He snapped, DK was taken aback.

"I tried but no one would listen," he said, his voice cracking. He was clearly upset that Steve was mad

"Ok, so that means we either have a glitch or a morphing," Steve said adn tried to focus

"Or both. Wait, 5up was near comms," DK said, remembering seeing a pink figure go into the communications room

"It's not 5up. No way," Steve said, putting blind faith in the pink man.

"It has to be,"

"You're tunneling. Get off of it,"

"Yeah. I guess so..."

"Hey, I'm glad you're safe," Steve whispered and pulled DK to his chest. DK pressed his face into Steve's neck, not bothering with a response.

"So we know we have 2 imposters right? Obviously Koji was a morphling,"

"So that means we have a glitch or a morphling. One or the other,"

"Or both. I'm still sure it's 5up," DK said. Steve rolled his eyes.

"I still don't believe you," Steve mumbled. DK rolled his eyes as his friend spoke again. "Ok, but who else? Assuming there is two more,"

"There has to be. So we have me and you but that's out of the question. So that's 5up, Toast, Hafu, Apollo, Kimi, Ellum, Tubbo, Janet and Karl," Steve said.

While usually neither really took the game seriously, they needed to figure out what was happening

"Ok. So who is it very clearly not? Keeping in mind that I still don't trust 5up,"

"Ok fine. It can't be Apollo or Toast. They've had to many opportunities to kill me,"

"So that's who we trust. Lets go finish our tasks," DK said and the boys walked off together. Steve grabbed DKs hand as they walked and the older male felt his face flush. They headed down through lower decontam and quickly entered specimen.

Apollo was in there and he looked over from Simon says. Steve started to do the numbers while DK focused on the chest. After they all three finished they decided just to stay and talk for a while

"I just can't believe what's happened so far," Apollo muttered. Steve nodded in agreement. DK was just being quiet and not saying much, thinking

"Hey Steve, remember when I said that Koji wasn't the killer?" He asked. Steve looked to him as Apollo looked shocked

"Yeah,"

"I think he was the arsonist. Cause when we ran into him at the beginning, he touched me and I felt like something was being poured on me," DK said. "Being said, Fundy must've been the altruist. You saw his reaction to Scott,"

"I'm sorry, Koji wasn't the killer and you didn't say anything?"

"I tried. Nobody listened," DK explained and glared slightly at Apollo. Yes he trusted the man but he was still a little jealous that Steve placed all his attention on him

"Actually that makes sense. But what does it matter now?" Steve asked, glancing at the short man

"We can figure out roles from there. Process of elimination,"

"Still have an assassin," Apollo chimes in.

"Still think it's 5up," DK mumbled. Steve rolled his eyes

"Tunneling," he warned. DK ignored him, not caring what Steve thought at this point.

Apollo left so it was just them two again. Steve looked to DK, slight annoyance showed on his face

"It's not 5up," Steve said through gritted teeth. DK scoffed and cocked an eyebrow

"How do you know that?" He asked, clearly unconvinced

"Did you see how upset he was over Fundy-?" Steve started to ask but was cut off by the shorter man

"And 5up is a damn good actor. He could've easily been the one to murder Fundy in cold blood. Hell, he probably was," DK said, Steve paused and stared at him.

"5up wouldn't do that in real life-" he started, trying to reason. But DK was having none of it.

"These aren't our friends Steve. Yes I agree it's upsetting that they can't die, but we need to worry about ourselves," DK whispered. The younger man nodded slowly, knowing his friend was right

"Fine. But it sure as hell isn't Apollo,"

"I agree with that and Toast," dk said softly. Steve could tell the man just wanted to go home so he hugged him

"I want to go back too," Steve whispered as he pulled away. DK nodded and grabbed Steve's hand.

"What tasks do we have left?" He asked. Steve checked his tablet, not bothering to release DKs hand. Actually, he pulled DK closer to his side.

"I've got an upload. That's it," Steve told him, keeping a grip on his hand.

"I have all my medbay tasks," DK said, and frowned. Steve led the way up to the medbay still holding DKs hand. DK felt his face flush but knew it was just so that they didn't get separated. Steve still liked Apollo despite the fact the man was with Chilled.

Steve dropped DKs hand so that he could do tasks, and the taller man watched in order to keep DK alive. He found he couldn't look away as Hafu came in and saw them.

"Hey guys," she greeted them. Steve heard her voice crack a little, clearly tired. "Have you finished your tasks?"

"Almost," DK answered as he adjusted the telescope. "And I'm done," he said. Hafu smiled

"Good. I'm glad. Hopefully we can get this base up and running and leave," she said, referring to the killers on the loose.

"Yeah. Guess we'll see," Steve said and slid his hand into DKs before they walked off. DK hadn't expected Steve to do that and couldn't resist a smile. They went down to comms and Steve started his upload.

While it was going, Steve grabbed DKs waist with his arm and pulled the man close to his side. DK leaned into him, happy to be close and know that Steve was safe
