February 9th
Dear Diary,
On Monday January 26th Dylan officially became my boyfriend. He took me out on our first date that day. After Jake left it was so romantic. He pulled the chair out for me before I sat down and then took both of our phones and put them in his pocket so we couldn't go on them. We spent the whole evening laughing and smiling. It really reminded me of why I like him. When he drove me home, he walked me up to the door and we kissed. It was like the ones in the movies, like not too long or too short and not too passionate. It was perfect. This was one of my favorite days since mom passed away. I didn't think of her once. Yes I feel guilty about it but I know she would be glad I got to act as if everything was normal. Even if I don't feel like it is anymore.
Why? Well first I'm still sad. I have these moments where I just sit in silence, staring at a wall, thinking about mom. Thinking about how different my life would be if she were here. Dylan has been finding me like this lately. He comes over at the just right time. He will sit and pull me into his lap, then when I'm ready we will hang out. If Dylan doesn't find me Jake will. He normally tries to pull me out of it but gives up and plays with my hair or something until I'm okay.
Secondly Jake and Jess are starting to flirt. It's only been like two weeks since Henry broke up with her but she is slowly getting over it. Though now that she's getting over it, Jake has decided to swoop in. It's not that bad until you just want to have girl time and Jake some how ends up in the room. The only thing that gets me through those moments is when Jake comes in that means Dylan does too.
And finally, Will, Riley, and Alex tell me my dad isn't communicating with their parents. And he's not answering my calls. I know he's upset about everything but I miss him."Rose Dylan is here for your date!"
"Rob it's not a date! Date nights are on Fridays!" I say walking out of my room.
"I'm sorry Dylan is here- wait why are you here then?"
"I want to spend time with my beautiful girlfriend. Is that a problem?"
"No it's just usually you're here to spend time with Jake. Where is he by the way?"
"I have no clue" I say climbing down the stairs. "We are going to be in my room. Love you, bye!"
I grab Dylan's hand and rush up the stairs. We enter my room so I close my door and turn towards Dylan.
"Hey handsome?"
"Yeah?"
"Remind me to write in my diary about my leg later."
"You didn't write about how your sexy leg is fully healed?" He says slowly backing me into the wall.
"Nope" I smile.
"Well it's a shame for your book. Cause that leg is so fine"
"How do you know that?"
"Well when we do this kind of stuff" he says placing light kisses along my neck and jawline, "sometimes you let me do this."
I laugh a little as he picks me up and places my legs around his waist. He runs one of his hands up and down the side of my thigh while the other holds my head as we lean in for a kiss.
"What did dad say about hanging out up here!? You have to leave the door open!" Jake says barging into my room.
Dylan immediately lets go of me so I plop to the floor.
"Ow! Damn it Jake! Every heard of knocking?"
"Ever heard of obeying the rules"
"Puh-lease. I'm not stupid. You've had girls upstairs without dad knowing plenty of times. Couldn't you let me and my boyfriend have some privacy?"
