Chapter Six

"What happened Rose" my mom says walking into my room.

"Luke happened. Go check freakin Twitter. Apparently we're trending"

She whips out her phone and puts two and two together.

"Oh baby I'm so sorry"

"He cheated on me for six months. SIX FREAKIN MONTHS!"

"No one saw that coming honey"

"I should have known. He was working twelve hours every Saturday and Sunday."

"Don't beat yourself up over it"

"Rose! I'm coming in!" Dylan shouts from downstairs.

"Well if it isn't Prince Charming coming to the rescue." My mom grins.

"Oh my god he followed me"

"Honey all girls dream of this moment, embrace it." She says getting up. "Rob's at work and I think I'm going to go grocery shopping." she winks. 'Be safe' she mouths. I roll my eyes. Dylan walks in as my mom walks out.

"Hi" he says standing at the foot of my bed. I roll over so that my face is in the pillow. He lays down next to me.

"Dylan why'd you follow me?"

"I can't understand you when your face is in the pillow"

"I said, why did you follow me" I repeat myself after I've rolled over to face him.

"Because I'm not stupid. I know you're supposed to follow the girl when she's upset."

"He cheated on me"

"Luke?"

"Yeah"

"I thought you were broken up already?"

"We are. He did it while we where dating."

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"Well we have a whole day to ourselves so let's get this off your mind."

"What did you have in mind?"

"I don't know but at my house we won't get interrupted" he smirks. I laugh and wipe my cheeks from the water streaks on them. "You should wash your face, you look hideous"

"Wow. It's every girls dream to here that from someone they were about to kiss"

"Oh we were?" He smirks again.

"Yeah we were"

"I forgot about that"

"Mhm sure you did"

"Remind me what was happening"

"Well first you leaned in a little, then I did too, and then-" I say doing each action as I say them. "Bam! My phone rings and my life gets turned upside down." I finish right before we were going to kiss.

"Tease!"

"Hey! I literally just found out the guy I'm in love was cheating on me for six months of our relationship. I'm not about to start kissing guys every chance I get."

I get up then go to the bathroom and wash my face. Free from all my makeup, I go back to my room and lay down again.

"You wanna talk about it?"

"Not one bit. Honestly I want to take a nap."

"Okay, you sleep while I watch sports center."

"Deal but when I wake up I get dibs on the tv remote"
