She stand quiet. She looked so sad. "Are you okay Xoch?" Mia asked. Xoch looked at her with watery eyes. "No, Mia I'm not, how can I be okay after this." she said getting up. "Xoch we were sorry we didn't tell you earlier but could you blame us we were trying to protect you." I said. She looked at me now. She started to cry. "Trying to protect me?...look at me now!" she said louder. After a few seconds she calm down. she sat in her bed again. "I really thought he changed. But I guess I said wrong." "Changed?" Mia asked.  Xoch looked at Mia. "Back home, our relationship wasn't so perfect. This one time I got sick and ended up in the hospital for 3 days. Not once he came to see me or even answered my calls or texts. When I got out I asked him why, he said that he didn't like seeing me in the hospital, but later that week I found at he went on a trip with his friends." I looked at her. I could feel this anger inside me build up. How could he do that to her and do it again now. "Xoch I am so sorry." Mia said going to hug her. They hugged. I got up and looked at her. And started to walk out. "Where are you going?" Xoch asked. I stopped at the door. "It's best if you don't know." I said then walked out. I got into the elevator and headed to the parking lot. I got in my car and started to drive to Bryce's house.

I parked my car and headed into the house. I opened the door and saw Bryce, Blake, Josh and Griffin sitting in the living room. I started to walk over to Griffin. I got in front of him. "Hey man what's up?" He said. "You son of a bitch!" I said before I punched him in the face. I kept punching him over and over again till Bryce and Blake pulled me away from him. "What the hell man, what the fuck is wrong with you?!" Bryce said. I didn't answer him I kept looking at Griffin. "How could  you hurt her again?, how could you do this again to her?" He looked at me confused. "Do what?" Bryce and Blake let go off me. "She told me what you did back home when she was in the hospital." He still looked confused till he remembered. "You left her for a boys trip when she needed you the most and now that she needed you again you weren't by her side. And for what? Another girl?" I said. He looked at me. He started to nod his head no. "That's what she told you?" I nod yet I was confused. "I didn't leave her to go on a boys trip. I left way before she got sick. I tried to be by her side. I was miles away, I did everything I could to be there for her!" He looked at me. "I don't believe you." I said. He took at his phone and showed me a picture of him and his friends out in the woods. "This was taken a day before I found out she was sick. Her sister told me after that I got the first train back home when I got there she was already out of the hospital. I told her a day before I was going on that trip." "Why didn't you tell her instead her hearing it from other people?" "Believed me I tried but her mom said that she was on heavy meds that she couldn't remember anything in the last 48 hours...she didn't believe anything I said. She told me that her best friend was the one that told her I leave while she was in the hospital." He said sitting down again. "Why would her best friend say that?" He looked at me and said,"Because she hated me, for what? till this day I have no idea." He put his head down. Then he continued to talk. "Look I know you don't like me and you might not believe me but I would never leave her when she needed me the most back then. I loved that girl with all my heart, and I don't know if I still do." I looked at him and started to calm down. "Then why won't you there for her now?" "I needed time to figure out if I had feeling for her but I realized that I'm not in love with her anymore, don't get me wrong I still love her and have so much respect for her but those feelings aren't there anymore." He looked at me and I could tell he was telling the truth. "You need to make things right with her even though you're not in love with her, she needs you right now, she needs to know the truth about what happened back then and how you really feel." He nodded. "You're right and she's gonna need you to be there for her after. She might be strong but she's not that strong." I nodded. We both walked to my car and headed back to Xoch. After we parked he said," Noah?" "Yea?" "I know you don't own me anything but promise me you will take care of her and not hurt her like I did." I looked at him and said,"Promise." We got out of the car and headed inside. We got to her door. "You ready?" I said before reaching for the door. He nodded and walked inside. We walked inside and only saw Mia sitting on a chair. "What the hell are you doing here?" She said getting up and walking forwards Griffin. "Mia stop just hear him out." "Nothing he says can fix what he did to Xoch. How could you even let him in here?" She said almost screaming. "Mia trust me please." She looked at me and nodded. She walked back a little bit. "Mia why are you yelling?" I hear from the bathroom. Xoch walked out and saw me and Griffin. She stopped at the door and looked like she seen a ghost. "Griffin?" she said getting closer. "Xoch" He said. "Xoch I know he is the last person you want to see right now but hear him out please." I said getting closer to her. She looked at me mad. "Nothing that he could say will ever fix what he has done I don't want to talk to him." she said rising her voice. "You don't have to say anything, just listen and after if you want me to leave I'll leave." Griffin said getting closer. She looked at him then at me. She nodded and then sat down.
