Y/N sits down at a table far enough away from the view of Diluc's possible wives and in-laws. She reaches for a glass from the table of drinks. I'm already tired of this. She thinks as she downs the wine. Archons know she needs it.

"Boo."

Y/N jumps, startled by Kaeya's sudden appearance. "Ugh, it's you." She jokingly grumbles as he takes a seat next to her.

"So, what did Ida have to say?" Kaeya asks.

"She hates me apparently." Y/N ruefully scoffs, shifting in her seat as the lilac envelope in her blazer pocket crinkles with her movements. "And she's awaiting my return to Fontaine."

"Fontaine?" A familiar voice chimes in. Y/N and Kaeya look towards Lisa dressed in a long, shimmering black dress. She takes a seat on Y/N's other side. "What about Fontaine?"

"I'm going to be leaving for Fontaine around the new year." Y/N explains and Lisa frowns.

"Ah, I think Jean might have mentioned this some time ago." She says. "Who's going to protect me from all those disgusting dunkards when I go to the tavern now?"

Y/N laughs lightly. "As if you hesitate to give those weirdos a shock or two. I think most of the creeps have learned their lesson."

"Plus, why rely on Y/N when I'm there?" Kaeya smirks cockily.

Lisa rolls her eyes. "You're ninety-nine percent of said disgusting dunkards."

Y/N snorts and Kaeya clicks his tongue. "I'm a gentleman! When have I ever tried anything?"

Y/N and Lisa both shoot him a judging look. "You already flirt with anything that breathes while sober, but you're exceptionally annoying while drunk." Lisa states. "I'll admit, you do know how to keep your hands to yourself. If only you would shut up, as well."

Kaeya feigns a gasp and his hand flies to his forehead dramatically as if he has been fatally wounded. "Here I thought we were friends." Kaeya sarcastically says.

"You're gravely mistaken." Lisa quips back.

Kaeya raises a brow. "If we aren't friends, how about we be something more?"

Lisa rolls her eyes, Y/N doing the same. "In your dreams." Lisa huffs with a grin. "Plus, you already know I'm very much taken. I would say Y/N is single, but I don't want her to be subject to your idiocy either."

Y/N's gaze flickers to Kaeya. "I'm sure he wouldn't try anything- unless he wants to lose his other eye."

Kaeya lets out a chuckle. "I wouldn't dare get in the way of whatever you have going on with Diluc."

Y/N's face lights up like flames. "S-Shut it."

"Oh? What's this I hear about you and the Ragnvindr?" Lisa asks and Y/N groans, wishing she would sink into chair she sits on and become one with the furniture.

"Nothing." Y/N curtly states. "Kaeya's lost his mind."

"Well, it isn't just Kaeya I'm hearing this from." Lisa says, taking a sip of wine. "There are some rumors going around about you two. You've been seen together around town, he waited in the Cathedral while you were recovering, and you showed up to the annual Wine-Tasting for the first time."

Y/N's heart sinks. Word sure does spread fast in this city. "Diluc and I have become friends recently is all."

"Whatever you say...." Kaeya trails off in a suggestive tone, earning a glare from Y/N who raises her hand to smack him "lightly".

Before any fighting breaks out between the two, Lisa quickly interjects, "Speaking of him, though," She starts. "Where is he?"

"He's dealing with a harem, right now." Y/N half-jokes.
