Book: Rookie 2 (Post Chapter 5~ Influence)
Pairing:Ethan Ramsey × Blue Hunter
Summary: Set during the small time jump after the fall out Ethan and Blue have after solving Gwyneth Monroe's case, and the board decides to change the diagnostics team's focus onto high profiled patients. The both of them get into an argument, with Blue walking out. Ethan gets a surprise when she returns not long after, in a dire state.

Author's Note: This once again has no relevance to the main Rookie books, and it's just a lot of angst basically. I tried to capture Ethan's emotions through the course of the whole ordeal, and I hope I did justice to it. Enjoy!♡

Both Blue and Ethan should have known that there was not going to be an easy transition after the whole situtation with treating Gwyneth Monroe, and the board suggesting the diagnostics team to change their approach to soliciting for high profiled patients.
Every day seemed to only increase the tension in between them with the number of high-profiled patients they were taking in, increasing exponentially. While it was bringing in a decent revenue for the team as well as the hospital, it went against Ethan's principles right to the core, and he needed an outlet to put that blame towards and Blue was the only one he could arrow it to.
After all, she was the one who had first contacted Gwyneth, and that was what had lapsed them to this situation.
Currently, both of them were arguing in the team's office again, regarding one of their latest patients, an insufferable rich businessman that kept insisting that he should be treated solely in his mansion. June and Baz had already retired for the day as they knew that their team leader and the youngest in their team could go at it for hours.
