Author's Note:Ahhh, I loved writing this little one shot😍 After writing chap 34 of Rookie 3, I had the idea of having Ethan visit his godson, little Ethan, along with Blue and I had to write it. It's full of fluff and sweet moments and I hope you enjoy it!❤ And I definitely can't wait for when these two to have their own little one soon as well!🥰💖🥺 ♡

"My flight is at 9A.M. tomorrow, I'll be at Minneapolis by noon." Ethan spoke into the phone as he walked into his appartment, bending down to unhook the leash from Jenner's collar, having just came back from a morning walk.
It had been three months since Ethan had dismantled the diagnostics team, along with all the other main departments as all the doctors placed their efforts into the community clinic, treating as many patients as they could, till they could not anymore. After a long time, he finally had a day off the next day, and he decided to use the rare down time he had to take a quick three hour flight to Minneapolis, his late friend, Dolores' home city, to visit his namesake, who had been deemed as his godson upon Dolores' sisters' request almost two years ago.
Little Ethan Hudson was going to be two years old soon, and Ethan had already visited him a few times before. Every time he saw the little boy's face, he would always feel the short burst of ache in his heart over the lost of his friend, as well as the pain of the little boy having to grow up without his parents. However, even with the pain, there always came the small joy with it as he remembered that his feelings for the woman that he loved, that he was able to call his for a few months already now, developed mainly from the night they had spent looking after the baby. Just then, an idea struck him.
"Actually, Alma, do you mind if I bring one more person with me to visit?" he asked, still on call with Dolores' sister.
"Of course! No problem."
"Great, we'll see you and the little tadpole tomorrow."

"Rookie, you need to calm down." Ethan said despite the fond smile on his face as he watched Blue excitedly stuff the toys they had bought for little Ethan at the airport's toy shop into her luggage.
"I'm seeing him after almost two years, of course, I'm excited." Blue grinned as she zipped up her luggage, taking Ethan's hand into hers as they both walked towards the arrival gate. "Thank you, for taking me with you." she said softly.
