The way her eyes fluttered open in the darkness, her head turned tiredly to see the moon shining through the curtains that Kian forgot to close, her eyes shutting as the moonlight blared into them. Turning around she swung her legs over the other side of the bed, padding down to the bathroom and yawned before frowning at the dull glow of light coming from Emma's room. Her eyes flickered as they adjusted to the light, she smiled slightly at Kian sitting on the edge of the bed reading Emma a bedtime story but her smile just grew wider and wider as she listened to Kian doing different voices to all the characters. Staring at Emma as her body slumped against Kian's and her eyes closed, she watched as he made sure the duvet was pulled over her before turning the sidelight off and their eyes met, she offered him a small smile and he smiled back.
"I heard her crying I didn't want her to disturb you," Kian says quietly, Jac just looks at him and he smiles "Did we wake you?"
"No" she shakes her head gently "I just...woke up...randomly"
"Sorry about all that-"
"Why are you apologising?" she chuckles slightly with a small smile "It was sweet, thank you"
"She's a good kid really, a lot like her mother but-"
"Oi!" she whacks him on the shoulder, he smirks at her and watches her bite her lip "Anyway I just wanted to use the loo..."
"Oh right" he ducks out of the way and she nods slowly going to close the door "Night"
"Yeah...night" she whispers and closes the door, she locks it and leans against it letting out a sigh, her eyes close and she shakes her head before opening the door, he looks at her, he was in the exact same stance as she was and it was the simple gesture of Kian touching her arm and she fell into his body securing her arms around him, his arms around her "I've missed you"
"I've missed you too," he says into her head kissing her softly on the top of it "I didn't think it would be that easy though"
"Who is there to judge now?" she questions shaking her head "Emma's fast asleep not that she would judge anyway, I'm not working...so what's the point?"
"I'm sorry, for all the stress I put you through" he whispers breathing in the scent of her hair, she smiles to herself knowing he wasn't a bad person
"You can't turn your addiction off," she says quietly "No matter how hard you try"
"I love you," he says and she looks up at him, their eyes boring into each other, she gulps afraid of what would come out of her mouth but she had fallen so hard she couldn't even describe it
"I love you too" she confirms and Kian wraps his arms around her and she hooks her arms around his "We both love you"
"You should get some sleep" he brushes a strand of hair behind her ear, she shakes her head against his chest
"Could you lie with me?" she asks as the tears fall from her face, he frowns and wipes her tears "Sorry, its just...overwhelming"
"It's ok," he says quietly, he leans forward and captures her lips gently with his, they kiss softly and she smiles against his lips before pulling away, she takes his hand and leads him down to her bedroom
"Stay?" she asks gently looking into his arms, he brings her in for a hug once more and strokes her hair, he brings his hand to cup her cheek, his thumb stroking her skin
"Always," he says kissing her again softly, she climbs back into bed and he follows climbing in beside her, gently he places his arm over her side and pulls her into her body, somehow they were both able to find the comfort they needed...
