(Luna's pov)

I reached home feeling extremely miserable. I shook off the feeling and got ready to take a bath. I made a check list of the things I have to do after my soak, it was my habit.

That's why I was surprised I fell for Tae. He was messy, unorganised and clumsy. The complete opposite of me. I was smart, neat and did my things on time. But, we found comfort in one another. We shared our woes, our happy moments, and somehow we fell in love. Yes, there was a lot of jealousy, I felt it. He was really charming, and so, so handsome. But now I've realised that we should let people go if we want them to stay.

I'm not that bad looking either, I am okay. Okay, not okay, I'm pretty. But not as handsome as Tae, and I was surprised that he fell for me. I dipped into the warm bath, and instantly felt relaxed. I closed my eyes, and then thought of Jimin. 'Ah, Jimin...'
He was just like me. Only a lil more optimistic. I would rather have him as my lover, till then my eyes shot open. 'What am I even thinking? You've got a boyfriend Luna, it's Tae. Now shut up and enjoy your bath.'

I closed my eyes again but couldn't get the thought out of my head. Why did I imagine him as my lover? It must be because he is so sweet. Yeah, that must be it. I got up, wrapped a towel around myself and made myself some tea. I clicked open my phone and went through Amazon to buy him a gift. I was so invested in searching for a gift for him that I let my tea overboil. I noticed when the scalding tea dropped on my hand; burning it.

I winced in pain and turned the gas off and felt so guilty. 'If I'm so guilty, I should write. Yes, that's what I should do.' I thought and started writing a heartfelt letter to Jimin.

3 Years Earlier

(Author POV)

This was a time when Tae was best friends with Luna, they were super close, and Luna's parents weren't home.

Luna was making breakfast; scrambled eggs and bacon. The smell awoke Tae, who was extremely hungry. He was half naked, wearing boxers but he was sleepy, so he came down without changing.

He saw Luna making breakfast, singing along to a song and he couldn’t help but come behind her and hug her. They have had many hugs like these before, so she didn't mind it. She smiled and said, "Tae-jagi, don't you want breakfast?" Tae hummed. He got closer to her, rest his head on her neck, and Luna felt something. He rested his lips on her neck and started nibbling on her skin. His grip got tighter, as he removed her hair and started to suck on her skin. Luna didn't know how to respond, but it felt so good. She held his face, and turned around. Tae was facing down, and she held his face, pecked his forehead, and hugged him. "Go, brush your teeth and come, please?" Tae nodded, and went to the bathroom.

Luna smiled as he left, and that intimate moment moment made her realise that she had feelings for him.

Present time

(Author's POV)

Luna decided to go to Jimin's party with her handwritten letter. She knew it wasn't much, but she had poured her love into it, so she was really happy with it. She'd put on a little make up, wore a lavender dress, and left her hair open.

She reached the place and knocked on the door. Jimin opened it, and was surprised to see her standing there. He grinned and asked her to come in. Only a few people were there. Tae, Seulgi, Jungkook, Namjoon, and Luna. Jimin too, didn't make a lot of friends despite his optimistic nature.

"Happy birthday Jimin. May you live a long life, here, I wrote a personal letter for you. I didn't know what to buy, so I wrote this instead-" "It's perfect." Jimin closed his eyes and smiled, and she could swear she saw tears in his eyes. She took a look around and saw Tae talking to Seulgi. So, she went and talked to Namjoon. As she was talking to him, Tae saw her. He got so glad that she had come, but then he got kind of mad. 'Why didn't she tell me that she's coming? And why did she lie to me that she doesn't want to come?' Tae got mad at her. So, he decided to ignore her.

After a while when Tae was free at the bar, Luna came to him. "Hi! I'm here!" "Hm." Tae said, not paying any attention to her. She sat on the seat next to him, trying to talk to him. "Tae-jagi, what's wrong?" "Nothing, you keep on lying, I'm right here to take all your shit." Luna was shocked of the accusation. "Excuse me?!" He turned to her. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" "I felt guilty about leaving you alone." "Okay, agreed. Why didn't you let me know as soon as you arrived that you were here?" "Because you were talking to Seulgi! Taehyung, I love you. Why would I spend my time talking to Joonie-hyung than you?" "Sure."

Luna couldn't believe Tae. "You're seriously going to stay mad at me for no reason?" "Yes." "Okay. Fine. As if I care. I have enough dignity." Luna got up, and went to the balcony for fresh air. She couldn’t believe how mad Tae would get over small things. A tear threatened to fall down, and she let them flow. She sobbed hard, because there was no one except Taehyung for her.

Jimin was serving dinner and saw that Luna wasn't there. "I'll be right back." He searched everywhere and found Luna crying on the balcony, staring into the vast meadow that surrounded his place. "Luna?" Surprised, she quickly dried her tears and fake smiled to let him know that she was okay. But Jimin could see right through her. He always could, so there was no point of hiding it.

"Are you okay?" "Yeah, why?" "No, my party is going on in the hall and you're out here sobbing. Something doesn't add up." Jimin stood near Luna. "You know you can tell me anything right?" Luna nodded, afraid that she might cry in front of him. He hugged her, and she finally let go. "I don't know what's wrong or who made you cry, but I know this much. Everything will be alright. You deserve everything good. Everything the best. Okay?" Luna nodded, and rested her head on Jimin's shoulder. She saw Tae was staring at her. She got up, and left Jimin and went to Tae to sort things out.

Jimin smiled. He knew he was making a mistake by doing this, by making himself fall for her more. But it was true that he couldn’t see her in any pain  and that he'll readily take that pain for her and give her comfort. Because he loved her. He loved her enough to let her go.
