Chapter 9- A Sorry Won't be Enough

Luna stared at Tae as he ate the delicious food that Jimin had made for her. Luna was obviously in a low mood and Tae noticed. "What happened jagi?" Tae held her hand and asked her. Luna pulled away, "I have to tell you something." Tae became tense, as she got up and went to the bedroom and took the letter in her hand. She came to the hall, where he was sitting. He looked at Luna and knew that she had been crying, so he sat on the sofa and pulled her with him. "What happened jagiya? Why are you so worried? I'm here for you baby..." Luna couldn't help but cry on his shoulder, feeling so guilty. She handed him the letter and he read it. As he read it his expression changed. From worry, from anger, from sadness to stillness. He felt nothing after knowing that Luna had cheated on him, and that too with Jimin. She had mentioned that it wasn't Jimin's fault, she made the first move.

Tae just got up, took his bags, and got out of there. Luna just held herself and cried bitterly. Tae didn't know where to go, so he went home. He knocked on the door and his mum opened, and as soon as she opened he hugged his mum and sobbed hard. This was the first time he cried instead of shouting, because he was really hurt. Shouldn't he have trusted Luna and Jimin? Can't be trust the two people he loved the most?

Tae fell asleep on his mum's lap as his mum stroked his hair and sang him a lullaby. She didn't know why Tae was crying or why he was here instead of at Luna's place but she didn't ask. She kept stroking his hair until she was sure that Tae was asleep. She knew that Luna or Jimin must've hurt Tae because he never cries like this. He can be mad, but tears never shed from his eyes.

Jimin had several panic attacks in his home. He couldn't call Tae, how could he? He was filled with guilt and horror in his actions, and so he continued to suffer.

The next day University was reopening.  Luna came, even Jimin came but Tae was nowhere to be seen. Luna got worried and started to overthink. Till then he came. He had obviously cried a lot, he looked exhausted. Even the teacher noticed. Tae sat in the front, ignoring Luna and Jimin. "You okay Taehyung? You don't look so good." "I'm okay sir. Just got hurt while playing. I'll be fine." Luna knew that taunt was for her, but she deserved it.

Tae ignored them in all classes and during Lunch break he brought his guitar with him. He decided to play for his friends. He sat on the foyer desk and tuned his guitar. Luna was watching, and so was Jimin.

Tae looked at Luna while playing and choked and stopped. He took a sip from his bottle to drink water and everyone started to clap. Tae fake smiled and bowed, Luna could see through him. Tae looked at Luna, and asked her to meet him.

Luna went to the place and Tae came and told her. "I don't understand why you would cheat on me, but you did the right thing by telling me instead of hiding it. Many people hide things only to be found out later, you didn't do that so thank you. I am not mad at you. But you have hurt me, really bad. So I have no other choice." Luna looked at Tae who was looking down, maybe trying to hide his tears. "I have to break up with you. You can date Jimin if you want, or anyone of your choice. I won't be in your way." "No. I want you. Only you. It was a lapse of my judgement baby I'm so sorry I shouldn't have done that-" Tae had heard enough. He just shook his shoulders, raised his arms and said, "I'm sorry." And left.

Luna broke down there, not knowing what to do now. Tae walked away, not crying. His tears had dried out since yesterday, where he'd cried like a baby in the arms of his mum. Now, he felt nothing. He didn't feel betrayed, or hurt anymore. He felt nothing. His heart was shattered, so, he felt nothing anymore. He wanted to cry, he wanted to shout at Luna, but he couldn't. He was too hurt to do that.

Jimin kept hurting himself during practice, he hurt himself to a point where the coach told him to hold off for today. His mind was somewhere else, his mind was on Tae, and Luna. He didn't like seeing Tae and Luna hurt, but now he had hurt both of them. 

Luna knew she didn't have to do that. She knew this would happen. She was an orphan who had no one except Tae. Tae and Jimin. She never had panic attacks or anxiety, but today her heart ached. She couldn't phone anyone, and for the first time, the loneliness kicked in. She just sat and let the tears flow, not wanting to rub them away.

She woke up to voices, and the view of a worried Jimin. "Luna? Oh thank God you woke up." Luna was confused, one moment she was in college and the other she's on bed? That's not even hers? "Where am I?"

Jimin held her and told everyone to go. "Tae... Got into an accident."
