Her Second Marriage or Second Love

Chapter 30

He raised his hand for the first lash but stopped in the mid. He was shocked, shocked to see blood oozing from her mouth and nose. Radha fainted and fell unconscious on the floor. Her body was not supporting her. Rakesh for the first time he felt as if someone has ripped his body apart. She laid on the floor with blood flowing from her mouth and nose in a pool of blood. His world shattered into millions of pieces, for a few minutes he was not able to observe what just happened, he stood still staring at her in shock. Soon he realized about the surroundings. He picked her up and patted her cheeks but there was no response. He started shivering. 

Rakesh: " Radha..Radha.. what happen? Radha wake up." He patted her cheeks continuously gulping the lump formed in his throat.  At last, he took her and headed to the hospital. Making her lay on the backseat of the car, he started his car and drove to the hospital. 

Rakesh's heart thumping rapidly. He was taking deep breathes to control himself. He was continuously thinking what if she leaves him just like his mother and Dadi. He was not in himself.  He was not able to understand anything. What to do what not to do. Fear ran down on him, he felt a deep pain in his heart. He would turn back to see her while driving. He drove the car at full speed even bumped with two three cars. 

Rakesh: " Think positive Rakesh think positive." He kept saying to himself. "Why all this is  happening?"

Rakesh was in a desperate situation. Soon they reached the hospital the same hospital where Priya ( Rakesh's sister) is admitted to. He carried her and entered the hospital. Tears flew down his cheeks seeing her. He felt a tight knot in his heart seeing his wife. His shirt was stained with her blood. He put her on the stretcher and shouted for the doctor.

Soon a lady doctor and the nurses came rushing to them. The doctor checked her.

Doctor: " Her pressure is very low admit her to the ICU!NOW!!" She said. The nurses nodded. They rushed her to the ICU while Rakesh stood there watching her go away. He waited outside the room. He was roaming here and there with many thoughts. He was consoling himself that nothing would happen to her. He felt his knees weak so he sat down on the bench. 

Rakesh: " Now I know why my heart beats when I hear your name. Now I know why my heart beats faster when I see you. Why does my breath stops when I remember you. It's because I'm madly in love with you. I LOVE YOU." He whispered looking at the ICU's door.

" Mr. Malhotra." Rakesh literally jumped in his place hoping the doctor to tell him that his wife s save but to his disappointment, it was only the nurse. 

Nurse: " Sir, there is some paperwork you need to go through it will only take a minute. You need to sign these forms." Rakesh clenched his fists in anger.

Rakesh: " JUST GIVE ME THE FUCKING PAPERS!!!" He snapped at her. 

Nurse: " But sir let me explain what is written in..." 

Rakesh: " JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GIVE ME THE PAPERS!!" He snatched the papers from her hands and scribbled his name on it and then push back the papers at the nurse's hands. 

Rakesh: " Just go back inside and do whatever it takes to save my wife." He shouted. The nurse hurried back inside. He was not able to stand it anymore. The pain in his chest was making him harder and harder to live. He suddenly fell on his knees and tears poured down on his face while his body shook in his silent sobs. 

After one hour,

The door flew open and the lady doctor came out. Rakesh jolted up from his place. 

Doctor: " Sir it's very complicated, we can't say if we can save your wife." Rakesh looked at her blankly. 

Doctor: " Sir your wife is suffering from hemorrhagic brain stroke. This is the reason for her bleeding." Rakesh didn't believe the words which she was saying. He was in shock after listening to this.
