Her Second Marriage or Second Love

Chapter 21

It has been three days since I have talked o her. I don't want my marriage to be a toxic one so I ignored her. I want to give a chance to this marriage. I have hurt her a lot both mentally and even sexually. She looks innocent, I thought she might be behind my money and my status but no I was wrong. She doesn't even look at my face.  remembered Ramu (the housemaid) told me about Radha going out every day. Might be going out for some refreshment. 

I am in my office right now busy working with some of my work. Suddenly my phone rang in my pockets. I checked it, it was an unknown no. 

Rakesh: " Hello."

Person:" Hello, Mr. Rakesh Singh Malhotra ?"

Rakesh: " Yeah it's me ." 

Person: " I'm speaking from the City Hospital. An accident happened here. And whoever has had this accident is saying that she is your grandma. She is taking her last breath, she wants to meet you please come fast. 

My phone fell down from my hand. I felt as if my breath has been taken away, I felt my throat dry. I felt the ground slipped beneath me. My grandma, my beloved person in my life is leaving me alone in this world. I have already lost my mom, my precious woman who gave birth to me. And now my grandma. I don't her to leave,  I had already warned grandma from going to that place but this stubborn woman doesn't listen to me.  I ran out of my office and drove as fast as possible I even hit other cars too while driving. Tears flowed from my eyes. You can't leave me Dadi, No.

Soon I reached my destination. I rushed inside the hospital. I asked the receptionist about Dadi. She is admitted to the ICU. I finally reached the floor and saw her lying on the bed looking pale and weak. My heart clenched looking at her condition.

A doctor came towards me.

Doctor: " Sir ."  He called, I looked up at him.

Doctor: " Are you, Mr. Rakesh Malhotra." I nodded at him.

Doctor:" It was me who called you. Good that you came. She has been waiting for you. Her condition is not good. Her wounds are not responding to our treatment ."

Rakesh: " Can I meet her ."

Doctor: " Sorry you can't meet her for some time. Her breath is not supporting her. Now excuse me ." Saying this he left from there and went inside the ICU room. I sat on the nearby chair and waited. I have informed Priya and my aunt-uncle about Dadi. I tried to call Radha but I didn't have her no. So, I called the housemaid but she said has gone out. Today again she left without informing me, I calmed myself down it's not the time to be angry now. They have arrived after few minutes and waiting outside with me. After few minutes soon the door of the ICU opened and some nurses and doctors came out. The doctor whom I met earlier came to me.

Doctor: " I'm sorry Mr. Malhotra we can't save your grandma. She's no more ."  I felt my whole world stopped. My grandma is no more. My grandma is no more, my savior, my only parent, my beloved mother is no more. I can't breathe now. Tears automatically started flowing from my eyes. I felt my knees weak and fell down. Priya started crying hard. Varun ( Priya's husband ) was calming her down. My uncle too started crying. But between these, there were two people who were very happy and smirking in victory. It was his aunt and his girl best friend Chaya, the evil ones.

I can't wait now. The people stopped me from going inside but with my one glare, they stood in their place. I ran inside the room and hug her cold body very tightly crying my heart out. 

Rakesh: " Dadi please open your eyes please, open your eyes. I know you're playing with me just like in my childhood ." But she didn't even budge a little. Rakesh holds her hands tightly.
