It all started a year ago...

"YOU CAN'T BE FUCKING SERIOUS" Leonardo yells to his younger brother, Jessie, as he backs away with a terrified expression.

I watched from the kitchen, quietly. Leo wanted me out the house so I didn't have to listen to he and his brother's fight.

I stayed though, because I wanted to know how much trouble he was in.

"I had no choice! They were going to kill me!" Jessie yells

Poor Jessie. Lying straight through his teeth. They were never going to kill him. He just wanted the money.

He was never a good brother, much like the mother he and my husband shared was a terrible parent.

"They said they were going to kill you?" Leo asked with an eyebrow raised

"Yes."

Makes no sense...why would the Ricardos threaten to kill him if he refused to testify?

Some may say it's because Jessie was there when the attack happened, he saw B-35 come in and kill that guy...

He was one of many witnesses. The others didn't dare to say a word.

So how do the Ricardos fit into this?

Poor Jessie. He must have thought that "R" branded into the back of the guy's skull meant he was apart of them. He thought B-35 killed one of the Ricardos.

They didn't though. They killed for them. The 'R' being there so the victim's family knew who ordered the hit.

They wanted the man's family to suffer knowing they'd never get justice. Why? Because their would be grave consequences if they ever snitched.

Snitching was a no-no. And Jessie knew that.

And snitching on B-35? Like they aren't the most notorious mafia in the state- arguably the country.

They aren't to be played with. Especially with their Don being unknown. He was ruthless- eyes similar to death.

No one knew his face, who he truly was. No one but me.

And Jessie would soon find out.

"So you're saying the Ricardos threatened to kill you if you didn't testify against B-35? That makes no sense, why wouldn't they retaliate themselves?" My husband asked

He knew his brother was lying. He just wanted to see how far he would go.

Jessie came here a while ago to tell his brother about his upcoming court day. He made sure to mention that before asking for money to flee the country.

But Jessie had enough money. He got it in the deal he took with with Natalie Russo- the wife of the victim.

She figured out it was B-35 who carried out the hit on her husband- smart woman, too bad her antics got her children orphaned.

She asked every witness to testify, offering handsome amounts of money. Jessie was the only one stupid enough to accept the deal.

He was money hungry- like his mother.

Natalie is petty for not explaining her husband was the enemy of the Ricardos. Because now Jessie is in one hell of a mess.

"I don't know. All I know is, I didn't want to die"

"If The Ricardos weren't going to get you...then B-35 certainly was going to. They don't give a fuck, Jessie. They're....ruthless" Leo warned. I could see him holding back the urge to smirk as his brother began to panic.

"That's exactly why you need to get me out the country."

I rolled my eyes. He can leave the country now if he wanted to. Natalie paid him before her untimely demise.

"I should have never got caught up in this! This mess is between B-35 and The Ricardos"

It's not though. We have an alliance with them.

And they would never go against us. They're too afraid.

"Listen...I don't know if I can help you Jess. Money's tight right now" Leo shrugged.

I bit my lip, I knew his denial of help actually meant Jessie would have be taken care of.

I'm not mad. He and his devil of a mother were never that accepting of me and Leo's relationship. They say very bold, very racist things when they think I'm not listening.

"Tight on money? Seriously? Is it that or you just don't want to give it to me?" Jessie ranted, "Or is it so you can support that gold-digging slut you married?"

I giggled when I heard that. Jessie is so bold. It's hilarious when you think about the fact that he doesn't know who his brother is- who he really is.

I never married Leo for his money- and he knows that. I make my own bag.

"Watch your mouth" Leo said through gritted teeth

"Help me out, brother"

"You're on your own. I pray they have mercy on you"

And then, only three months back, Leo comes up with a plan so crazy that I'm not sure it'll even work...
