"Wand of Elder, never prosper."-Unknown Wandmaker

Jay woke up with a start.

"Flynn? The hell?" he muttered sleepily.
Jay opened his eyes reluctantly, and saw Flynn, jumping up and down excitement, his black eyes shining with giddiness.
"Come on Jay. Your not thick- we go to Diagon Alley today!"

"Oh yeah- crap, what time is it?" He muttered, throwing off the sheets of his bed and getting up.

"9:25. Mum said we're going through Gold's fireplace, remember? Said we should be ready by 9:40.
"All right, lets head down." Jay said quickly.
The two eleven year olds began rushing down the stairs, Jay not even bothering to change out his pajamas, both knowing how'd they've been waiting for this same day for years.

Jay Callo was an 11 year old boy with caramel brown hair, light auburn eyes, and white skin. He was half blood, and Flynn Saiple was pure blood. Jay's father was a Muggleborn who was killed by Death Eaters during You-Know-Who's reign, as he worked in the Order of the Phoenix, the group of talented witches and wizards that fought against Him. Jay's mother was also an old member of the Order, but survived and now continued her work at the Ministry of Magic.

Flynn, Jay's brother in all but blood, had dark, raven black hair, dark brown, just about black eyes and white skin; quite a bit tall for eleven years old. He was often considered very good looking for his age. Both of Flynn's parents were killed fighting as Aurors attempting to defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named followers. He was brought in by Jay's mother who was named godmother to Flynn.

So Jay and Flynn were raised as brothers, and both shared a desire for revenge against the people that murdered their family, and that was the root of Jay and Flynn's pact- they would become Aurors, no matter what. Both of them lived in a secret Wizarding village in London; Jay and Flynn in Number 6, Littleroot street, with their neighbor and best friend, Gold.

Jay and Flynn arrived down the stairs into the kitchen table, where their mother sat them down for breakfast.
"Hello, you two. I could hear you two rushing down the stairs. Excited for your trip down Diagon Alley aren't you? I felt just the same way when I was getting my stuff as well...." She began reminiscing a bit, but then snapped her attention back to the eggs she was frying and continued. "Hey, I wonder what type of wand you two will get? Oh, you'll both probably get something prime for dueling maybe..."

Jay's mother wasn't the best cook in the world, if he had to choose between her and Gold's father, who was an incredible cook even without magic, he would probably pick him in a heartbeat. But she wasn't a bad cook, and had a particular talent at curry. But of course, that all fell out the window when it came to her magical skills. Ms. Callo, as an ex member of the Order of the Phoenix, was an incredibly powerful Auror back then. She now worked as secretary to Rufus Scrimgeour, who was head of the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic. The job definitely payed well, and Jay and Flynn weren't super rich, but they definitely lived well.
Once they were finished with the fried eggs, they began the short walk next door to Number 5, Littleroot street, over to their best friend and next door neighbors house- Gold Sione.

They knocked on the door and Gold quickly opened the door a couple seconds later, evidently excited, and greeted them. Her name fit her appearance; Gold had golden hair that was currently tucked over her shoulder in side swept waves, and golden green eyes that shone like the sun. She had white skin, and currently wore a white jacket with gold lining. Her mother often commented that she would grow up to be "as beautiful as a Veela."
Funnily enough that was somewhat true- her bloodline did have some Veela; one of her great grandmothers were Veela. She was half blood, having a Muggle father and a witch mother. Unlike most Muggles who married into the wizarding community, who mostly leave in a heartbeat when their magical spouses reveal themselves, he had stayed, completely and utterly fascinated by magic. Due to this relationship with her father, she had an excellent idea of how to fit in with muggles perfectly, and had ended up teaching Flynn and Jay the same.
