They found themselves in their own backyard. It was dark outside. Their bedroom window was open so they tiptoed their way over and pressed their backs against the wall while they listened in on the conversation inside the house.
"Hazza! Where are you?"

"Shit! I'll be right out. Don't come in." Younger Harry panicked.

Louis looked at Harry, seemingly surprised that this was one of his most significant moments in their relationship. He knew what it was, obviously, but he had never thought that it was such a big deal to Harry.
"What are you doing? Are you okay?" Younger Louis asked through the closed bedroom door.

"Yeah! You're home early. Just give me a minute." Younger Harry stressed.

"You're acting strange! Is there someone in there with you?" Younger Louis questioned.

"What? No! Don't be silly." Harry replied.

Harry and Louis both peeked through the window. Younger Harry was trying to get out of his clothes.
"Alright, I'm coming in!" Younger Louis said.

"Wai..." Younger Harry started to protest but younger Louis opened the door.

Younger Harry hid his face in his hands. Younger Louis walked up to him.
"Baby, look at me. You look absolutely gorgeous." He said softly.

"I'm wearing a dress. You weren't supposed to see me." Younger Harry replied, sounding like he was about to cry.

"So? You're beautiful. Hey, don't be embarrassed." Younger Louis said and grabbed younger Harry's wrists gently and removed his hands so he could see him.

Younger Harry stared at him with worried eyes.
"Let me help you with the zipper. Turn around." Younger Louis demanded softly.

Younger Harry did as he was told and younger Louis pulled up the zipper.
"Now, turn around so I can see you properly."

Younger Harry smiled shyly and turned around.
"Damn! You look so pretty. I love it!" Younger Louis smiled.

"Really?" Younger Harry questioned, fiddling with his hands.

"Really. Don't ever feel shy or insecure about what you wear Hazza. You look incredible in everything. Now, how about you keep that lovely dress on while I fuck you? It's such a turn-on." Younger Louis grinned.

Younger Harry giggled.
"Deal!"

They didn't have to see that so they got away from the window and sat down behind the garage.
"Why this moment?" Louis wondered.

"Are you kidding me? I don't think I loved you more than I did at this moment out of gratitude. You caught me wearing a dress for crying out loud and you reacted like it was a normal event." Harry said emotionally.

"Well, yeah?" Louis said.

"You don't get how much it meant to me, how much your support has done for me over the years. You had my back from day one. I wouldn't be half the man I am today if it hadn't been for you. I was an unsecured sixteen-year-old boy when we were put in a band. It was overwhelming. You weren't much older but you were the glue that held us all together. You helped me embrace all my quirky sides. You are the most selfless, kind person I have ever met. You put everyone else needs before your own.  All the confidence I have today is all because of you. Your support, your love. Today I don't care what people think about me. I wear what I wanna wear. I paint my nails and wear lipstick. Do you know why? Because when you found me on this day in that dress your facial expression never changed. You didn't look shocked or disgusted. People can say that it's okay but their facial expression gives them away. Yours didn't. You really thought that it was in fact, okay and you made sure to let me know how beautiful I was. I was so relieved and grateful and I loved you even more after that." Harry said, firing off a grand speech.

"Well...fuck! You're gonna make me cry!" Louis said with a restrained voice, holding back his tears. He wiped his eyes with his palms.

"I don't think you get what an incredible person you are. Your fans get it. They absolutely adore you. You have the best relationship with your fans among all of us. Don't get me wrong, we all have great fans, but Louies? Incredibly dedicated and filled with so much love for you specifically, and you deserve it. I've been holding you back. It's your time to shine and I hope you go for it." Harry said with a sad smile.

Louis stared at him.
"What are talking about? You haven't held me back."

"I have. I got to do an album and a movie. I have been on tour." Harry said.

"I don't see it like that, Harry. I'm biding my time. I'm gonna write an album of my own. I just have to figure out what I want my music to sound like." Louis smiled.

"And it will be amazing. You were always the best songwriter in the band." Harry complimented.

"You all wrote killer tracks!" Louis protested.

"Yeah, but you wrote most of them." Harry winked.

"True." Louis smirked but added, "with Liam."

"Of course." Harry smiled.

They stayed quiet after that. They had their backs against the garage and looked up at the stars in the sky.
"So, who's getting this house?" Harry finally asked.

Louis wrinkled his eyebrows.
"You can take it. I can't live here without...I have other houses."

"So do I." Harry pointed out.

"Yeah. Should we sell it?" Louis wondered.

"No. I don't want anyone else in our house." Harry said.

"Me neither." Louis replied.

"So we'll keep it for now?" Harry wondered.

"Yeah."
