Louis realized that they were laying under a bed. He was about to crawl out but Harry grabbed his arm and shook his head. A door opened and Louis heard past Harry crying. A sad Harry was the worst. It always felt like a punch in the lungs whenever Harry cried. He couldn't breathe. He had to force himself to lay still and not crawl out from under this damn bed to comfort him.

The bed dipped.
"Hi, mum."

They didn't hear what Anne said.
"No, I'm not okay. It feels like I'm dying." Past Harry cried.

"Because Louis just called. He wants a divorce mum!" Past Harry said and absolutely lost it.

They listened to past Harry cry so much that he started to hyperventilate. Louis turned his head to look at Harry with guilty eyes. He hated this. He had to look away. Harry looked so sad.
"No, we can't get through this. He doesn't love me anymore." Past Harry wailed.

Louis snapped his head to the side to stare at Harry again. He had to bite his tongue not to talk and reveal their hiding place.
"I neglected him. Pushed him away. It's all my fault, mum." Past Harry sobbed.

Louis took Harry's hand and squeezed it. There were so many things that he wanted to say. Harry didn't look at him. He turned his head away. This was the last, humiliating straw. Now Louis knew how badly he actually handled the news that Louis wanted a divorce. The humiliation continued.
"It's too late mum. He doesn't want to be with me anymore. Oh God, how am I supposed to do this without Louis? I love him. Fuck! I love him so much. Why doesn't he love me anymore?"

Louis let out a small gasp underneath the bed, but past Harry was crying too loudly to hear it. He put a hand on Harry's cheek and tilted his head so their eyes met. He opened his mouth to say something but before he could get the words out they had changed scenery and were standing in their walk-in closet back home.

The door was slightly ajar and they could see past Louis pacing around in their bedroom crying. He sat down on the bed with his back to them and made a phone call.
"Hi Oli, I told him. I couldn't wait until he came home."

Louis glanced at Harry who stared at his past self. His eyes were burning and he was clenching his jaw.
"What's the point? He wasn't happy. I had to set him free, let him go even if it breaks me. He doesn't love me anymore. He just didn't have the guts to tell me."

Harry turned his head to stare at Louis who took a step back. He had never seen him so angry. He was furious, absolutely fuming. If looks could kill he would be on the floor by now. Louis gulped.
"I'm sure Oli. He's been so distant lately. He's probably relieved now. He's not stuck in this marriage anymore." Past Louis said.

Harry's hands were fisted, knuckles white from how hard he folded them. He looked like he was ready to punch someone, him. Louis' breath hissed. He knew that he had messed up...again. That was clearly not how Harry felt from the look of it, and the previous time travel they had just experienced. He wanted to cry. Fall to his knees and beg for forgiveness. He was such an idiot.

"No, I wanna stay here. I need to be alone. Thanks anyway. Bye." As soon as past Louis hung up they heard him cry his heart out.

Louis hung his head. He felt ashamed. He should have talked to Harry about it but he had been so sure. Miscommunication had always been one of their biggest struggles in their relationship. He felt like a complete jackass and the glares Harry was sending him told him that he thought the same. Louis would be surprised if they would work things out this time. Harry might have had enough. He knew that this was his fault. His insecurities had gotten to him but the prospect of losing Harry again made his stomach knot. He was slowly working himself up to a full-blown panic attack. Their time-traveling had given him hope, that maybe they could find their way back to each other, that Harry could love him again. The irony wasn't lost on him. Harry had loved him all along. He had to fix this.

He turned his head to look at his husband. Harry was staring at a spot on the floor. He didn't even blink.
"Harry." Louis whispered without any response.

He grabbed his arm but Harry immediately pulled away. He gave him a death glare.
"Please Harry." Louis whispered.
