Y/N's pov
60 seconds!
How did I end up here again? Oh yeah, I volountered for my best friend, B/F/N (best friend's name), who got picked. I live, actually... did live in district 11,the district that provided food for the capitol.
30 seconds remain!
I needed to win.. I had to do it. 'Make allies', she said. But with who to make allies?
20 seconds!
Who can I trust?
Ten seconds!
And the most important.. how to survive?
BOOM!
The sound of cannon filled my ears,echoing. I quickly dived in the water. I am not that much of a swimmer, but I know the basics. I swam underwater, so I can see who is where. Not many of them. I swam to the ground as fast as I could. I rose up and breathe. I heard large steps walking towards me. And they were from the side of the forest. Right where I was planning to go. Crap. I ran to the cornucopia swiftly, grabbed my backpack which contained, THANKFULLY filled bottle of water, a piece of bread, and a few sticks. Not that bad, I thought and ran straight to the forest.
Finnick's pov
It wasn't that easy to choke that guy from district 5 as I thought it would be. I grabbed my spear and whipped sweat off my forehead. I saw a h/c haired girl swiftly running to the forest. Y/N. She is the one that was friendly with me, not because of my looks, but my personality. I liked that. I ran to the direction only to hear two whispering voices. I hid behind a tree and eavesdrop.
"Alright so we get her in count to three, okay? " There was no response so I suspected the other person nodded.
"One."
I saw Y/N, peacefully sleeping on a tree.
Peacefully, not so long. What do I do!? She mustn't die! Why did that run through my head?
"Two." Then something happened, which turned the whole plan upside down. BOOM! Then Y/N jumped very fast, from tree to tree, her h/c hair swinging in the air. She finally jumped off a tree and impaled the two blondes with her sword. Before I could do anything, one of the twins spotted me and swinged its sword to me, creating a large cut. I saw the red luiqid flowing, and everything turned black.
Y/N's pov
That was a good trick. What I DIDN'T know is that Finnick was behind one of the trees. Gloss made a huge cut on his arm, and now he passed out. Gloss has a huge wound on his head. His sister however has one on her stomach. There won't be much time untill they bleed to death,

together. Then I remembered one important person. Finnick. I quickly carried him to a nearby cave. He was still unconcious. I carefully cleaned his cut. Then I heard two sounds.
POMF.POMF. I got out only to see two packets with parachutes on the top. I unwrapped both. There was a box with fruit, and a box of a slightly greenish bread. These must be sponsors menthor told me about. I brought them in and saw Finnick looking around himself.
Finnick's pov
I seem to be in a cave, but how did I get here? The last thing I saw before I passed out was a blonde cutting my arm badly.
"You are awake. Good." I turned around to be faced to Y/N.
"Y-you s-saved m-me?".
"First, stop mumbling. Second, don't exaggarate, I only cleaned your cut and brought you here."
"Well, thanks.We are allies now I suppose?"
"Yeah, I guess. Can you walk?" I tried to stand up,failed.
"Here." She put my unwounded arm around her shoulder and together we walked out of the cave
Y/N's pov
My heart was beating faster than normal. Why, I didn't know. Right when we came out, the capitol anthem started. Then we were about to see the faces of people who died.
Finnick's pov
Let's see, a girl from my district, a boy from 5 who I drowned, a few more people then... Peeta and Katniss?How did they die? Tracker-jackers? Probably. After the anthem finished I spoke.
"How did Peeta and Katniss die?" She chuckled a bit.
"I killed Peeta."
"Why?"
"He was working under those twins, got poisoned by trackies, killed Katniss, then tried to kill me."
I just stood there with my jaw open. Then I heard a high pitched voice.
"All tributes who survived, there is a  slight change in rules. Only one or two ally people can survive." (A\N I know there should be two people from the SAME district, but screw it!).
"This doesn't make any sense.Both Peeta and Katniss are dead. There is no dream team that Capital can nicely swallow again.", I said.
"Maybe there is, but we just don't know. We are tributes remember?".
I just nodded and swirled her beautiful hair. Do I... like her? Everytime I am close to her my heart is beating faster than a bullet. I wanted an answer to one question..
"Why did you save me?"
She looked away.
"Because you were in trouble, it would been useful to have you as an allie, and......"
"And what?"
"I like you." I just stood there in shock.
"Finnick I-". I interrupted her by colliding our lips. When we broke for air I said:
"I promise to you, Y/N, we will survive somehow."
"Pinkie promise?",she joked.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.". We giggled and gazed through the sky.
