Third person's POV
The air is not filled with tension, but with love and happiness. Everybody feels so good in the dinner together, talked about how life goes, how good the wedding for Wendy and Jake could be and all, Luke's marriage life, Kai and Tyler's career, Katherine next fashion collection, Aaron's company and the new restaurant of Danny, bla.. bla.. bla.
Everyone is laughing happily with the conversation and too submerged in the nice atmosphere to notice the tension in one man's eyes. He has been eyeing everyone in the room for the whole night from the littlest acts to the most serious ones to the certain person in the same room whom he can't reach to talk or even has a small moment with her.
It's Aaron. He has been holding his anger back for the whole night from the moment Luke came back. The man actually did so many things that Aaron couldn't like a bit. Luke has been with Katherine the whole night along with Kai.
They talked about many things that Aaron can be sure that he couldn't understand a single thing since he wasn't there in the time they were talking about and that's the first thing that he doesn't like and then Kai started to flirt with Katherine by his action and sweet talk of how beautiful she is when she smiles or how nice her hair smell and so on.
It makes Aaron feel mad because he knows that those things are the only things for him and not for the other guys especially Kai, a playboy.With Aaron she has the most pure scent in this world, a untainted and nature person in this complex world. Not to mention the super close skin ship of Luke and Katherine.
He has been laying his dirty hand on her shoulders for too long for and Aaron too didn't like it. He sighed for the 9th times of that night when he can't even show his true color here while trying to be nice and all, even if he is not like that a bit. Due to the stupid rules and his pride, he has to suffer it alone while Katherine is too naive to notice the different behaviors of people around her.
She just simply thought that Kai was just teasing her like usually and people are trying to make fun of them by pairing the two into a couple and Luke, isn't he always like that? He always treats her like his real little sister and the love for her is too big to forget anyway. For him, she is just like a little kid who needs lots of love.
"Kathy, look at this." Luke took a little box from his pocket and showed Katherine. Every eyes are on them right now and Aaron right away turned his head to their direction and totally ignored Danny's ranting about the new hot chick in the town and his business. Luke slowly opened the box and showed her the set of bracelet with the design of a little butterfly and a pair of pearl earrings.
The little girl squeals and hugged him tightly and ranting the word "Thank you, Luke" like a repeat track. Aaron's eyes popped out at the scene and he can feel the smoke coming out form his ears and head. How can the little girl be happy with those single gifts from a man. He kept thinking about it and how easily she can be tricked with just some lewd and cheap gifts from just any man.
He can buy her many many things like that if she just asked. And then Aaron stopped his mind track for a few moments. Has Katherine ever asked him for anything? Does he know about her favorite color, place, templates, food or clothes? Has she ever had something expensive and luxurious in her life or just something so normal and simple like her? And how could Luke know everything about her? How could he can make the girl happy with a small gift which Aaron can be sure that he could buy thousands of them for her.
He looked back at the girl who still stared at the gifts in her hands with sparkling eyes and Luke was just patting her head like a real lover. That's it. That's the limit of it. He is not supposed to be close to her. He must be near Jessica, his sister. He must love her because Aaron had done everything so that they can be together and right now, he must admit it, he is fucking jealous because of Luke.
"Where is Jessica, Luke?" Aaron tried to catch Luke's attention and have the answer he has been dying to know for the whole night. Luke just simply smirked at Aaron before put one of his hand on Katherine's shoulders. The girl is still in her own world with the new gift and doesn't notice the small action of Luke.
"Oh, she is with my mom today. They need to do something or check-up. She might be pregnant too. Anyway, today is my sister's special day. I have to come."
"The Smith, like that? Why didn't you bring her there instead of being here? Is she not important like your sister?" Luke smirked again before looking at the girl next to him.
"Oh, she is quite important, but it's Katherine birthday next month and I can't get to see her. So I got to come here instead, right Katherine?" he asked the little girl before taking her chin up and guide her to look direct into his eyes. Luke's face came closer to her and he put his nose on her nose and smiled sweetly at her.
Katherine blinked at his action and didn't know what has been going on, innocently smiled back at him. She thought that he just joked around or something, but that is the push to all thing. Aaron has already stood up from a few seconds ago. He can't let that stupid Luke do whatever he wants to his girl. He came to Luke and gave him a punch before taking the girl away from him.
"We will go home. See you next time." Aaron held Katherine hand and walked quickly out of the house. He can not be sure if he can stand any minutes in that house without punching a few more guys. His jealous even reached to the higher level when Luke still tried to remind Katherine of the chocolate he bought for her.
Aaron will take note in his mind for punishing Katherine hard today and lock her in the house. The couple left the house while the other stayed in shocked? Well, not that much. They are just amazed with the way jealous Aaron does. Then the whole room was erupted with laughter. Danny quickly came to find the first-aid kid to help Luke while Wendy and Jake were laughing like crazy. Tyler and Kai were both rolling on the floor. It seems like their plan actually worked.
