Harry Potter's Nightmare (5th Year)

Overview

· You and Harry share a dorm

· Voldemort is in his head all the time

· Harry is exhausted, having nightmares all the time.

You and Harry were sleeping in each other's arms, in the dorm that you two shared.

Harry has been having a lot of nightmares lately, they were quite bad ones that woke him up in a cold sweat, he hadn't had one in about a week, so you were both glad that he was getting a break and able to get a good sleep. 

As you were sleeping you felt Harry start to shake and move about, he started to sweat and breathe heavily.

You slowly wake up and realise that Harry was having a nightmare, "Harry?", you said in a tired groggy voice, he didn't wake up he was moving so much, "Harry, wake up, it's me", you said worryingly. 

Before waking up he yelled a very loud "NO!", then Harry finally opened his eyes and he sat straight up immediately and was breathing so heavily, he looked around in a panic, "Harry it's okay", you said placing a hand on his shoulder.

He looked at you and pulled you into a hug, you hugged him back and rubbed his back, he was trembling, this seemed to be one of his worst nightmares, "shh, it's okay, your safe", you said in a comforting voice.

You pulled apart from Harry, who was still shaking and breathing heavily, I cupped his face, "do you want to talk about it?", you asked but you already knew he would say no, but to your surprise, he nodded his head. 

You let him tell you about the nightmare, "well, Voldemort had you captured, Ron, Hermione, and I were trying to save you but he killed them both and then you, and then I woke up", you looked at him worryingly.

Harry was trembling even more reliving the nightmare, "oh Harry, I'm sorry you had such a bad nightmare", you said, you looked at the clock on the nightstand, '3:45', it read.

"But Harry, it's just a dream, look I'm right here safe in bed with you", you said trying to comfort him, he nodded.

"Can you hold me?", he asked in a really shaky voice, "of course, come here", you wrapped your arms around his shaky body. 

You started to talk about something to take his mind off the nightmare, "do you remember last Christmas?", you asked smiling.

Harry smiled slightly at the memory, "when we all stayed here at Hogwarts", you continued, "yeah, it was the first Christmas when we shared our dorm together", he said, "I remember being so nervous to share our dorm together, I thought you wouldn't like living with me", he said with a slight laugh, you laughed, "me too, I thought the same, but now I couldn't imagine not living in this dorm together", you said looking around at the dorm.

"And then we all opened presents in the common room and you got me a ring in the shape of a snitch and had your initials engraved on it and I have never taken it off since", he said looking down at his hand with the ring on it, you smile and put your hand on his and rubbed the ring with your thumb.

"Yeah and you got me this necklace with your initials engraved on it and I have never taken it off since either", you said pulling the necklace from out of your top, Harry looked at the necklace "we had very similar thoughts for presents last year," he said laughing, you laughed as well, "I guess we did", you said. 

"And then we all went outside, you, me, Ron, Hermione, Fred, and George and played in the snow all day", you said, "oh yeah and we played until we couldn't feel anything and our faces were red", he said in a slight chuckle.

"Then we all drank hot chocolate by the fire in the common room", you said, "that was probably my favourite Christmas in a long time, we were together as a couple and where all were so close", Harry said "yeah that was a really good Christmas", you said.

 At the end of the conversation, Harry had stopped shaking was a lot calmer which you were glad that you were always able to calm him down and talk for ages about anything, It was one of your favourite things about your relationship you were able to have nice deep conversations and cuddle and comfort each other. 

"You feel better?" you asked looking down at Harry, he nodded "thank you for helping me again, I'm sorry you have to do this so often", he said with a sad expression and looked down.

"Harry you don't need to thank me I'll always be here, and I don't mind I love our late-night conversations", you said with a smile.

Harry looked at you so grateful to have you in his life, he kissed you so passionately and you kissed him back just as passionately too, 

You both kiss for a bit and then when you pull apart you smile at each other "I love you" you said, "I love you too so much" he said and gave you another quick kiss on the lips.

You cuddle in close to each other and get comfortable, you run your hand through Harry's hair as you know it comforts him and makes him sleepy, and your other hand is holding his hand stroking his knuckles with your thumb comfortingly. 

You said something but when you didn't get a response you looked down to see Harry asleep again.

You smiled and gently brushed his hair away from his face and gave him a quick kiss on the forehead before falling asleep too.
