Lyla is Sick (Your Daughter)

It was the middle of the night, you and Harry were fast asleep in each other's arms when you heard a muffled cry coming from the bathroom. 

You woke up from the cries you frowned, "Harry" you said, shoving slightly to wake him up, he woke up "What's wrong?", he asked, "I think Lyla's in the bathroom crying", you said with a frown, Harry quickly grabbed his glasses and put them on and you both go out of bed.

You both walked to the bathroom, you both see Lyla crying on the floor next to the toilet, you both rush to her side, "Lyla what's wrong?", you said stroking her head, Harry kneeling down next to you, "my tummy is really sore, and my head", she said through her cries. 

You put the back of your hand on her forehead, "oh Lyla, you're burning up", you said, you pulled her into your arms and cradled her, Harry was so worried, "come on, let's all go downstairs," he said with a weak smile, you all stood up, you still had Lyla in your arms. 

You all went downstairs into the kitchen you sat Lyla on the kitchen counter, she looked really pale and lethargic. 

You and Harry looked at each other worryingly, "let's take your temperature", Harry said in a kind voice, he went to go find the thermometer. 

You went over to Lyla and brought her into a comforting hug stroking her head, Harry came back with the thermometer, "open wide", Harry said, he put the thermometer in her mouth, you and Harry swapped worried looks, the thermometer beeped, Harry took it out her mouth, he looked at it '38.3C', "you have a temperature baby", he said with a worried expression. 

"Okay, well let's get you some medicine and a drink", you said, Harry nodded and turned to the fridge to get the medicine and a drink. 

He comes back and pours the medicine onto a spoon, he brought the spoon to Lyla's mouth, Lyla turned her face away, "come on Lyla, it will make you feel better", you said rubbing her back. 

She reluctantly turned her head and took the medicine, she did amazing and she took the drink straight away, "well done" you said. 

"do you want to come and sleep in Mummy and daddy's bed?", Harry suggested, she nodded tiredly in response. 

You and Harry brought her back upstairs, you placed her in the middle of the bed, you and Harry got in and wrapped both of your arms around her comfortingly. 

"Could you sing me a song mummy?", she asked, you nodded, she smiled, you sing her a soft lullaby after you finished singing Lyla was fast asleep. 

Harry looked at you, "how does that always work?", he asked in awe, you shrugged your shoulder, "I don't know but I'm glad she's getting some sleep", you said looking at him through the dark, "yeah me too, I love you both", he said and gave you both a kiss on the forehead, "we love you too Harry", you say smiling, "night baby", you said close your eyes, "night love", he replied, you all fell asleep.
