Kate's been home for a few days and helped her manager out. It's Monday and the sun is shining after a long week of grey. Kate had a long conversation with a colleague about her days with F1 while working behind he cashier. Kate didn't tell her about her love story with Charles only that's she's done with Jason. It's quiet and most people are filling their carts with groceries. Kate hears her colleague friend laughing behind her. 'What's wrong?'
'Some kid just ripped a bag of frozen blueberries and it's all over the place.' Kate looks and sees a desperate little boy standing with a ripped bag staring down at the berries on the floor. His mother laughs loud and makes a picture of what her child did. 'That's a mess, I hope we don't have to clean that.' Kate laughs a bit. The team manager shows up and tells Emma, Kate's colleague friend to clean it up. Emma sighs and gets up.
'Maybe you shouldn't have laughed.' Kate calls after her. 'Screw you.' Emma growls. Kate laughs loudly. Few minutes flew by and Kate handled with an couple. Ten minutes to go and she can leave A small girl shows up with lots of candy bars. Let me guess she hasn't got enough money and wants to remove some items after I scanned it. The girl only has 3 euros and 75 cents. Kate looks in her screen. 'It's 5,25.' She tells her.
'I don't think I have enough.' The girls says unsure. 'Can you remove these two.' She shows bubblegum and a chocolate bar. 'Yea sure.'
'That's gonna be 4 euros.' The girl looks sad and lets her head hang between her shoulders. Kate feels guilty. 'Can you remove the other chocolate bar?' The girls asks and Kate nodded. 'Wait, I pay for her.' Someone says. Kate knows that voice. 'All of it.' The person added. Kate looks up and sees Charles. 'No way.' She mumbles. The girl looked at Charles and smiled grateful.
'Thank you.' She says cute. Charles didn't have anything for Kate. Charles payed for the girl and she gave him a hug. 'You're welcome.' He says to her. The girls let's go and left very happy. Kate focused on Charles. 'How did you find me?'
'Your sister?' He laughs he leans against the cashier.
'Of course. What are you doing in the Netherlands.'
'Well... next race is in Belgium and the Netherlands is the neighbour country am I right?'
'True.'
'I wanted to check on you. Hang out before splitting again.' He says cutely.
'I'm with Mercedes for Belgium, sounds like a great plan.' Kate laughs.
'Since you're almost done, I'll wait outside.'
'Charles?'
'Yea? Watch out for the max fans since you're in the grocery store that sponsors Max.' Kate sees him grinning. 'That's explains the looks at me.' He leaves waving at me.
'Oh my god!' Emma stood right behind me and scared the hell out of me. 'I'm not gonna lie but he's cute.' Kate laughs. 'What's his isnta?'
'I'll send you his insta.'
'Ok, thanks.'
