It's race day

The grandstands are filled with people, the orange army is back and everyone is busy preparing for the race. The f1 cars made they're way to the grids. The helicopter is flying really low to catch Lewis Hamilton from the air. Kate waited with Alex one of Lewis' top mechanic beside the grid. Kate is nervous and she tried to calm herself with a medicine but that doesn't help.

She isn't nervous for Mercedes but for Charles. She can't help it, Kate couldn't sleep last night. She worried about Charles not just because he lost his friend and has to live with that during the race but she's scared that she might loose him like that to. 'Kate you ok?' Alex asks while staring at her. 'Yea.' He kept looking. 'your mind is somewhere else.' Kate opens her mouth. 'True my sister got hit by a scooter and I hope it's nothing bad.' Greatest lie I ever came up with... it's so stupid and funny at the same time.

'Oh my, how did she do that?' Alex asks. 'Sisters are magical.' Kate laughs. 'True true my sister has a thing with my best friend kinda sucks.' He grins and looks at the Mercedes coming there way. Lewis stopped his car. Kate took her phone. 'Can I shoot a picture?' Alex nodded and Kate walks in front of the car. Lewis noticed and gave thumbs up. Kate smiled and makes a picture. 'Give credits to Mercedes.' Alex jokes. 'Yea of course.'

More cars joined the grid and Kate looks at the front row. Two Ferrari's. Max is one row behind her and she looks at him. She waves funny. Max waved back and Alex laughs loudly. 'Made friends?'

'Yea. I'm not lonely anymore.' She jokes. 'Ouch, not that it is a bad thing.' Alex looks to Max. 'Girl, that guy will win championships and I know the time will come when he's a bigger threat then Ferrari.' Kate looks back at the two Ferrari's. 'Hey give me that camera.' Alex says to an Mercedes guy. 'Kate ever used a camera like this?' She shook her head. 'It not that big as all those track photographers but this thing makes better pictures then an iPhone.' Kate nodded. Of course it makes better pictures.

Kate takes it from him. 'Fun challenge for you while working. You have to impress me with pictures and I will buy you your own.' He points at the camera in my hand. 'Sure sounds fun.' Kate smiles thankfully. 'I don't care if you picture other cars then us, just impress me.' Alex winks. To be honest Alex is a cute guy with curly hair and around 25 years. Alex is that kind of a guy who wants to save memories. Make a picture of everything he's sees. That's what she is going to focus on.

The starting grid, first lap, pitstop, last lap and the podium ceremony. Kate walks to the front of the grid passing the two Ferrari's. She sees some of the Ferrari mechanics look up to her. Ok so Kate has to make a picture of the top three and all have to be visible. Kate waits for a photographer to finish his shots while she walks over to the finish line. The photographer with a lanyard around his neck telling his name is Mike looks at her. 'Want to make a picture of Lewis?' He questions.

'All three.' She tells him. He lays his camera down and looks at Kate. 'If I was you take a picture from here, you can see the leader and Hamilton the best. Vettel to if you take a few steps back.' He tells her. Kate nodded. Kate did what Mike told her and she made beautiful pictures. They both look at them satisfied. 'I think it's perfect.' Kate smiles. 'If you need help with anything or interested in photographing contact me.' Mike gives her his business card. Kate takes it from him.

Kate walks back to Lewis but she checks Charles' car out. Racing for Antoine Kate makes eye contact with him. She looks back at The Mercedes crew but they were all busy. Ok better... Kate walks closer to the Ferrari. 'Good luck Charles.' She says as quiet as possible. She puts her hand in the car against his. He holds her for a couple of seconds and lets go. Kate walks away back to Lewis. Alex is busy talking to Lewis. She looks on her watch 5 minutes till the lights. Kate makes her way to the garage and she passes the pitfall. She wished the Mercedes crew and Toto Wolf good luck. She enters the garage and she sits on her spot.

Kate is in trance, last lap and Charles is still leading her heart raises. Lando got an engine issue and it's absolutely heartbreaking. Lewis is 1.261 seconds behind Charles and is hunting him down. Someone crashed and it's yellow in sector 2. An alfa Romeo hit the barriers. No overtaking thank goodness. Lando stops at the finish and seconds later Charles is at the last turn. "Charles Leclerc can now see the 🏁 and for the first time ever, Charles Leclerc wins A formula one grandprix."

Max is DNF, Lewis P2 and Valteri is P3. Everyone clapped and Kate looks back at the big screen in front of her. Charles is really calm over the radio. She get's it and his reaction warms her heart. Everyone of Mercedes walked to the podium for the ceremony. Kate follows Toto Wolf and just in time the Ferrari appears.
