"You can't leave me. What will I do without you?"

"You need to go home and fix everything"

"I can't. Too much time has passed"

"But he'll still be there. Waiting for you. So will everyone else. You won't have peace without this"

"He's in my past"

"No he's not. A part of you still yearns for him. I've known that for a while now. I think you think you love me, but not really. Your heart still yearns for him"

"No, that's not true. I just need closure"

"Go. I'm sure he's waiting for you"

Caitlins eyes flew open. She had reached her destination. She was worn out from her journey. She needed to sleep. She grabbed her luggage and got out into the station. She scanned the waiting crowd, and saw him. She knew he'd be here. He had supported her through everything. He spotted her and waved. Caitlin smiled and waved back

"Hi"

"Hi" she replied, running into his arms

Caitlin hugged  her brother, very tightly. He was her one support system. He had supported her through everything.

"How quickly my life has changed. A few days ago, I had everything and today?"

"Relax Caitlin. This is just a setback. Nothing more. Just until you get back on your feet"

"I hope so"

"You always know what to say. Your my biggest supporter"

"We'd better get going. Before it gets too dark"

Caitlin took her stuff and put it into the boot of his car

"So Caitlin, what are your plans whilst you are here?"

"I don't know. I'll probably catch up with everyone"

"Will you see him?"

Caitlin froze. Why did he have to bring him up? It had been ages, and she had forgotten him and everything. But it was bound to come up, now that she was home

"I might see him, now that we're both in the same place. But I'm not going to actively seek him out, if that's what you are worried about"

Caitlin ran and sat in the car. Her brother got in and they drove off. Caitlin stared out of the window as they passed everything. Everything was exactly the same, as she had left it all those years ago. She wondered if the people there had moved on, or was it still the same as she had left it? They soon pulled up and Caitlin stared at the house she had left all those years ago. It looked exactly the same. Caitlin looked at the surrounding areas. Everything was exactly the same. She felt like she had gone back in time. Before she had left and everything had happened. She sighed. Nothing it seemed had changed

She walked into the house

"Surprise" everyone yelled

Caitlin was stunned. This was the last thing she wanted. She quickly put a smile on her face

"Welcome back home"

Caitlin quickly smiled and went and mingled with everyone. Soon she just grew tired and went and sat down

"Their you are" her mum, said sitting down next to her

"I just needed to catch my breath"

"I'm sorry Caitlin. I know this isn't what you wanted, but everyone was so happy to hear that you were coming back, and they wanted to see you"

"I'm sure they did"

"Meaning?"

"Mum, half of them don't even like me. So I find it hard to believe that they are happy to see me"

"Pay no attention to them. They are just jealous"

"Of what?"

"You. You got out of here. Made something of yourself"

"They can too. It's not hard"

"Try telling them that"

"But mum, don't any of them want to better themselves? Don't they have any hopes or dreams?"

"Caitlin, it's a small town. They like routine"

"Well I'm tired and going to bed. I've had a long day. If they bother to ask, let them know"

Caitlin went upstairs and had a nice long shower, to wash the day away. She put on her dressing gown and entered her room. She felt like she was stepping back in time. Everything was as how she had left it. Nothing had changed. Caitlin sat down in front of her dressing table and began to dry her hair. That's when she saw it. It was still there, after all this time. She quickly climbed into bed. She couldn't deal with this now.
