It was the day Caitlin was dreading. She was being discharged. Her legs had healed nicely, as well as her body. She was happy to be going home but she was still upset that Barry wasn't any closer to believing her. She had given it her best shot, told him everything and in his eyes she was a liar. It hurt her to know what Barry thought of her, but she couldn't control what he thought. He finally knew everything, it was up to him if he believed her or not. She was upset, but she knew that there was nothing she could do

Finally, she was ready to leave. But before she left with her family, there was one last thing that she had to do. She ran down the hallway into Barry's room

"What do you want? How did you get in here?"

"Please, I'm leaving town. I'm going back to where I came from. Please, just let me say goodbye"

"No. We're not letting you near our son"

"Please. You have won. He doesn't believe me. You've got what you wanted. Just let me say a final goodbye. Then I'll disappear from your lives forever"

"Your right. We won. Barry doesn't believe you. How does it feel knowing he doesn't believe you and hates you? You Caitlin, the girl that refused our bribes to leave him. The girl that said your love was strong and that he would believe you, no matter what. You have lost Caitlin, face it"

"No. I didn't lose. Your Barry's parents and he trusts you completely. He doesn't know the cruel game that you have played. Just pray he doesn't find out. He'll be devastated. He loves you completely. As for us, he might not believe me, but I know what you did. I just feel sorry for him. Imagine how upset he'll be when he finds out. Maybe Barry's love was not in my fate. I have no regrets. It was beautiful whilst it lasted"

Caitlin walked over and kissed Barry's hand

"Hey you. I need you to wake up and get better. Im leaving. I hope that you are happy with iris, moving ahead. Maybe we weren't meant to be in each other's lives after everything. But Barry, it was beautiful whilst it lasted. And just remember Barry, I love you and always will. Take care of yourself"

Caitlin ran out in tears. She went back to her room and cried her heart out. Her family came, and Caitlin left. Her feet felt like she had shackles in them, as they weren't moving. But she dragged them, and went out. There was no reason for her to stay anywhere now. She had decided to go back to where she previously had been, as she knew it would be difficult seeing Barry around and acting normal after everything

Caitlin cursed her luck. She couldn't find a train ticket, until after the engagement. She felt like fate was laughing at her.  What was she going to do? How was she going to cope? How was she going to cope, knowing that the guy she loved was now someone else's? She didn't want to go, but there was no choice. She had wanted to stay and clear her name, but even if she did, in Barry's eyes it would not matter as he was going to become someone else's. She didn't care about anyone knowing the truth, except Barry, but if Barry was going to get engaged and eventually married to someone else, did it really matter? He was the only one she wanted to know the truth and if it made no difference to him, did she really care about everyone else?
