The days went by. They shared stolen glances at each other during class times, hangout whenever they were free, had cute moments during school trips, they were always glued together and lovey dovey.
It didn't matter now they are a couple, they were still the bestest friends anyone could be jealous of. Both of them always got each other's back.

Taehyung never thought Jungkook was never in love with him, but still considered him as a best friend, just like before. Everything shattered within matter of time. Never ever in his life, Taehyung thought everything with Jungkook will end like that.

It was a fine afternoon, when they were in canteen with one of their friend, chatting and having snacks. Their friend was teasing them & they were all laughing. It was then the friend asked,
"So how's your relationship going? I never thought you guys will be in a relationship. But yeah, you were always close to each other and it's not a surprise too. You both are really cute together".

It was then Jungkook snapped at him,
"Relationship? What do you mean? Relationship as in friendship? We are not in any other relationship. Tae is my bestfriend and we have been together since childhood. That's all. We don't have anything romantically. Isn't it Tae? I don't know why everyone assume things like this. It's not like we publically announced that we are a couple or something".

Taehyung was beyond shocked to hear that from Jungkook. He didn't say anything but simply looked at Jungkook. Their friend looked at Tae and understood it's better to leave.

Jungkook looked at Tae and frowned.
"What are you thinking Tae? Why do you look so pale and shocked? What happened, is it because I got angry at him? Others should really stop these rumors. I know this is common in highschool, but still I don't like people talking bad about you & me and also-"

Suddenly his words were cut by Taehyung.
"So you don't love me Jungkook? Other than a friend?" Jungkook looked at him and said, "No! Yes, I love you Tae, but you know it's not like a lover. Why are you asking this. You know how we are and how much I love you. Did his words hurt you?"

Taehyung really wanted to say it was Jungkook's words that hurt him. Taehyung simply stared at Jungkook in disbelief wishing that this would be just a dream. Jungkook never loved him more than a friend. Yes it's true that they never had anything romantical. But they had their own special moments, their own happy world. Everything shattered in front of him within a blink. Tae didn't knew what to say or think. He stood from his seat and started to walk.

He stopped at turned back at Jungkook and asked him again.
"Are you sure, there is nothing between us other than friendship? That you don't love me more than a best friend?"
Jungkook was wondering why Tae was asking this again. He shook his said and said No.

That was the end of everything. Tae wished Jungkook will call him back when he walked away. But he didn't. He didn't even moved from that seat. Everything was so quick. Taehyung went to his classroom and stared at nothing. He didn't knew whom to talk to. Jungkook was his everything. His bestfriend, soulmate, partner and everything. He didn't knew how to live without him, how to survive without him. But he promised himself, he wouldn't continue anything with Jungkook, not even just friendship. He can't, as he knew very well he will fall in love again and again if he stay. So that's what he did. He moved away from Jungkook. But what hurt him the most is, Jungkook never came back to him & asked what happened.

Jungkook started to act as Taehyung wasn't present in front of him. He pretended Tae is absent in his life. It was hard for Taehyung. So he finally requested to change classes and was approved. Later he found some friends in his new class and learned to completely ignore Jungkook and his new 'friends'. Still when he saw Jungkook with some other students laughing and having fun, it hurts him a lot. But whenever Tae passed nearby, Jungkook simply ignored him.

Taehyung struggled a lot & engaged in another relationship with one of his classmates. She was sweet and caring, but not like Jungkook. He missed Jungkook a lot. Sometimes he regretted his stupid proposal and wished everything was just like old times. He craved to see his cute bunny smile and laughs. He wished to see his kookie pouting at him and cuddling with him. He needed something to distract himself from Jungkook and that was his new relationship. But it didn't last longer. He was not interested in her at all and later he started to question his sexuality.

He soon broke up with her, but it was then one of his classmate, a boy, proposed to him. He thought of experimenting his sexuality and said yes. That relationship went smoother and he realized he is comfortable with boys. They soon started to make out in public, kissed each other during break time and was all over each other. He tried his maxiumum to avoid Jungkook and started to show off his new relationship whenever he could.

Taehyung had sex, multiple times, but he still missed Jungkook and it was frustrating to him. He felt satisfied whenever he saw Jungkook witnessing him and his boyfriend sharing time together and their skinships. But one thing he never realized was, how much heartbroken was that bunny boy.

It went like that until they both graduated. They didn't even say a goodbye to each other and never met again. It was then Jungkook's family moved away from their neighbourhood to their hometown and Taehyung and his family moved to city for his parents business expansion. They both wanted to contact each other. Even if they see one day, both of them didn't know how to react.

Taehyung sighed and closed the album. He looked at the small frame placed on his bedside table. There was them smiling at him. Kookie and Taetae💜
