Min Yoongi, couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling that had settled in his heart after seeing Jungkook's unusual behavior at the Kim mansion. As days turned into weeks, Yoongi found it increasingly difficult to ignore the nagging concern that something had happened to his talented protégé. He couldn't help but notice the distant look in Jungkook's eyes and the way his once vibrant energy seemed to have evaporated into thin air.
Determined to uncover the truth, Yoongi decided to confront Jungkook. One evening, as the sun began to set, he found Jungkook sitting alone in his music studio, staring blankly at a half-completed composition. Yoongi took a deep breath and entered the room, his footsteps echoing in the silence.
"Jungkook, we need to talk," Yoongi said, his voice filled with genuine concern. Jungkook looked up, startled, his eyes widening as he realized Yoongi had noticed his inner turmoil.
"Hyung," Jungkook replied softly, his voice laced with a mix of surprise and apprehension. "What's wrong?"
Yoongi pulled up a chair and sat beside Jungkook, studying him intently. "I've known you for years, Jungkook. I can sense when something is bothering you. You've been distant lately, and it's affecting your work. Is there something you want to tell me?"
Jungkook hesitated, his gaze fixated on the floor. Memories of his past with Taehyung flooded his mind, overwhelming him with a mix of emotions. He had long buried those feelings, never expecting to see Taehyung again. Now, faced with the reality of their unexpected reunion, he felt torn between revealing the truth and protecting the fragile peace they had all settled into.
After a moment of silence, Jungkook finally spoke, his voice filled with vulnerability. "Yoongi hyung, I... I met someone recently. It's complicated, and I'm not sure how to handle it."
Yoongi's eyes softened, sensing the weight of Jungkook's words. "Is it someone from your past?" he asked gently, trying to piece together the puzzle.
Jungkook nodded, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, someone from a long time ago. We... we used to be close. But circumstances pulled us apart, and we haven't spoken since."
Yoongi's intuition began to connect the dots, but he needed more information to confirm his suspicions. "Jungkook, I can see that this person has affected you deeply. It's important for me to understand the full picture. Can you tell me more about your past with them?"
Jungkook took a deep breath, contemplating whether to reveal the truth to Yoongi. Finally, he decided to trust his boss and confidant. "Taehyung... Taehyung was my ex-lover. We were together during our school years, but we broke up a long time ago. We both moved on, or so I thought. Seeing him again, it stirred up emotions I thought I had buried."
Yoongi's eyes widened, realization dawning upon him. "Wait, Taehyung... is he by any chance connected to Jin, your brother?"
Jungkook looked up, surprise evident on his face. "How did you...?"
"Seokjin, your brother, his brother in law's name is also Taehyung, right?," Yoongi interrupted, his voice filled with urgency. "They're family. He just came back, and you guys met at that reunion at Kim mansion. And now that I think about it, something felt so off from that day onwards."
Yoongi could see the turmoil in Jungkook's eyes as he processed the events of the past and the potential for reconnecting with Taehyung. He understood the importance of seeking guidance from those who knew Jungkook best—his brother Seokjin and Seokjin's husband, Kim Namjoon.
"Jungkook," Yoongi began gently, "Have you considered talking to Seokjin and Namjoon about this? They're family, and they might be able to provide some valuable insight or support."
Jungkook's gaze shifted downward, his thoughts mired in uncertainty. He hadn't thought about confiding in his brother about his past relationship with Taehyung. The fear of judgment and the possibility of straining their relationship loomed in his mind.
"I... I don't know, Yoongi," Jungkook hesitated, his voice tinged with apprehension. "It's been so long, and I don't want to disrupt their lives or create any unnecessary tension."
Yoongi placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder, offering reassurance. "Jungkook, your brother loves you. And Namjoon, too. They've always been supportive, and I believe they would want to see you happy. Sharing your feelings and experiences with them might help you gain a fresh perspective."
Jungkook took a deep breath, contemplating Yoongi's words. He realized that he had been carrying the weight of his past on his own for far too long, shutting himself off from the support of his loved ones. It was time to trust in the bonds of family and seek their guidance.
"You're right, Yoongi," Jungkook said, determination shining in his eyes. "I shouldn't keep this to myself any longer. I need to talk to Seokjin and Namjoon, to let them in and seek their understanding."
Encouraged by Jungkook's resolve, Yoongi nodded approvingly. "I'm proud of you, Jungkook. Opening up and sharing your experiences will bring you closer to the people who care about you."
With renewed determination, Jungkook reached out to his brother and Namjoon, requesting a meeting where he could finally reveal the hidden chapter of his past. Seokjin and Namjoon, concerned by the change they had noticed in Jungkook lately, readily agreed, eager to support him in any way they could.
A few days later, gathered around a cozy table in Seokjin and Namjoon's home, Jungkook took a deep breath, his heart pounding with nervous anticipation. The love and warmth radiating from his brother and Namjoon offered him the courage to speak his truth.
"Seokjin, Namjoon," Jungkook began, his voice steady but tinged with vulnerability, "I have something important to share with you both."
Seokjin and Namjoon exchanged concerned glances, their eyes filled with love and unwavering support. "Jungkook, you know you can tell us anything," Seokjin reassured him gently. "We're here for you."
Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Jungkook recounted the story of his past relationship with Taehyung, how they had met again after all these years, and the conflicting emotions that had resurfaced within him. He spoke honestly and openly, baring his soul to his brother and Namjoon.
As the words spilled from his lips, Jungkook felt a weight lifting off his shoulders. Seokjin and Namjoon listened intently, offering understanding nods and gentle words of encouragement. Their unwavering support enveloped him. They both hugged Jungkook & he finally felt relaxed after so many days.
