2018:
Everything's so uncertain
Nothing is guaranteed.
Ties were broken,
Left me learning
That we make the lives we lead.
Falsely accused and hated
Learned I was to caring.
Grew frustrated and terminated
Pretentious bonds that were overbearing.
Ended the year peacefully
With a change of attitude.
My days flowed seamlessly
For I found my solitude.
2019:
Dimpled smile lit my face
Committed my year to Jah.
My peace was tested in an unfair case
Of lies, deception I found abhorred.
On bended knees I prayed,
Not letting enemies steal my joy,
Opened my eyes and wasn't afraid
With their own actions themselves destroy.
Filled with joy and peace
I learned from mistakes made
Building firm confidence, increase,
The outrageous lie will fade.
