O C T O B E R

"Are we sure we wanna wear this?" questioned Hailey, her voice almost quavering as I fix her oversized shirt and made the last touches of her costume, dirtying it with the red paint so it look like blood stains.

"Talk to Eli, to go as the Purge girls was her idea."

"No, no. The idea is cool." she gulped glancing down as spinning on the mirror of my dressing room. "It's the whole being in lingerie what I don't quite see."

I rolled my eyes. So exaggerated. We were in lingerie, alright, but nothing too revealing. Those lace black bra -more like a top- and black shorts. Then the stockings and finally the oversize shirt that we were now painting with fake blood.

"It's Halloween, and a frat party. If we don't get to dress slutty tonight then when?"

"Yeah, right... I just..." she kept twirling before the mirror, not looking convinced. "I just don't see it."

I sighed. "Alright, come here." I buttoned the middle buttons of the large shirt, covering her middle and pulling it so it slid down her shoulder. "How about this?"

She grinned, immediately more convinced and again turned towards the mirror to inspect herself again. "Now better."

I almost scoffed. The bra was still visible through the white cloth and her left breast cup was almost out, but if she felt more comfortable like this...

The front door bell rang and Hailey squealed, taking my hand and practically dragging me to the front door of my own house, opening herself to let in Eli and Judy -Hailey's dorm mate. The later was a completely avoidable company, despites out mutual distaste the girls like her, and she was the one whose boyfriend got us a ticket to a frat party so I guess I'll tolerate her for tonight. As long as she doesn't speak much to me...

"Hey!" Eli hugged us, making her way in like she owned the place and parroting with Hailey about something I couldn't quite hear because my attention was on Judy, who stepped in stiffly, eying around like she was judging everything until her eyes find mine.

"So this is your place."

"So?"

"How can you afford this?"

Impertinent. I closed the door behind her. "How is this any of your business?"

"Chill, Kimmy, just wondering."

"Kimberly." I corrected and he raised her hands.

"Kimberly. Must be nice to have healthy parents." and there she was. I knew she wouldn't keep it cool for long. Not like she'd even tried.
