Chapter 3

Beam's pov:

"Beam!" I looked towards the door when i heard it open.

"Fern? What's going on? Why do you look so mad?" I asked as she came towards the desk.

Ella had already gone home with the nanny who came to pick her up.

"How can i not be angry? This place is infested with bugs!" She slumped onto one of the chairs infront of the desk.

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I met the newcomer. He was the one who wrote all those reports and atleast 6 others that were credited in other names! And he's been here for only 2 weeks!" She groaned.

My jaw dropped low. "So they've been taking advantage of him?"

She nodded. "I've already told Luke to start investigating. From what he told me, there are atleast. 5 of those bugs in the lower management only. "

I gritted my teeth.

"We've been giving too much leeway. They think they cam do whatever they want and get away with it."

She nodded.

"Honestly, i think we need to deep clean the whole company. We need to find new hires and screen them tediously before accepting them. This might get out of hand very soon if we don't do anything."

I nodded in agreement.

"It won't be too hard finding new hires since many people always apply the moment there's a vacancy for any position. The problem is firing the bugs without increasing the chances of them spreading bad news or filing a lawsuit."

"Yeah. That's going to be the tough part." She sighed and sat back in the chair.

I looked towards the door when i heard a knock.

"Come in!" I called out.

It opened and Arthit peeked in.

"Arthit? Why are you here?" I blinked.

He grinned widely and came inside.

"I heard you started investigating. So I'm here to help with that and the deep cleaning as well." He sat down on the chsir beside Fern.

He took the table he was holding and showed us some videos.

"You little shit. When did you do this?" Fern grinned at him.

He shrugged his shoulders and sat back.

"Now, please tell me the deep cleaning is happening soon. I've almost had it with those bugs." He looked at me.

"Yeah. It's definitely happening a lot sooner than i first thought. But we're going to be busy for a few weeks after that finding new hires, screening them, training them, and getting them settled in." I could already feel a headache coming.

They groaned but nodded in agreement.

"Better stock up on sleep and rest in this week then." Fern.

"Yup. We won't be getting proper sleep for a while." I sighed.

Ming's pov:

I sighed and slumped into my chair trying to shake off the dizziness that was clouding my head.

Work has started getting hectic for the last 5 days.

For some reason I'm getting way more tasks and am even required to hand them in personally to the department head without giving them to anyone else.
