Together Someday

Chapter 2

Anna woke up to her alarm at 4:00pm. She laid there not wanting to get up, but Buck knew the sound of her alarm and stood up with a stretch and nudged Anna knocking her to the floor. Landing on the floor with a thud Buck hopped off the bed licking Anna's face, "Alright, alright I'm up" she laughed standing up.

Anna quickly changed into some workout gear and put Bucks biking harness on him. Walking out of the garage with her bike, her and Buck went for a 2mile ride through the country for some fresh air. When they got back home Anna received a text from her boyfriend Tanner.

Tanner: Hey babe are we still on for Saturday?

Anna: Yes, I can't wait! I seriously need a night out 😪

Tanner: Are you still wanting me to stay over this weekend?

Anna: Of course babe!

Tanner: Yay! I'll be there after you get off work.

Anna: Alright babe see you then. Time to get ready for work. I love you😍😘💞

Tanner: Have a great night babe, I love you too 😍😘💞

With that Anna gave Buck a full groom and put on his work collar, Buck is a therapy dog and goes to work with Anna every Thursday. After she finished with Buck she took a shower and changed into her scrubs that had different dog breeds on them. Anna decided to put her long dirty blond hair up in a tight pony tail.

Loading Buck into her Black Chevy Silverado since she didn't allow him in her mustang, they pulled out of the garage and headed towards Fair Hope. When they arrived Buck was greeted by the staff and they made their rounds to visit the residents. They always looked forward to Buck coming in and they always asked Anna when he would be working again. Buck loved his job and loved going to work with his mom.

Anna took Buck outside halfway through the shift to give him some food and burn off some energy. When they went back inside Buck laid at the nurses station with his mom. He was allowed to go with her on room calls. 5:00am rolled around, Buck and Anna made their final round saying goodbye to the residents. Anna drove straight home knowing Tanner would be waiting for her. She pulled into her garage, walked inside to see her boyfriend who stood 6'0, had dark brown hair and the most dashing brown eyes. Buck ran up to Tanner happy to see him.

"Welcome home, how was work babe?" Tanner greeted her with a hug and a kiss

Anna kissed him back before replying, "It was great, seeing everyone light up when they see Buck makes my nights better"

"That's great to hear babe," Tanner said walking into the kitchen, "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Uh surprise me! I'm going to take a shower" She responded before turning to walk towards her bedroom

When she got out of the shower she got dressed and walked to the kitchen to see what Tanner made them for breakfast. She walked into the kitchen to see that he made them her favorite breakfast which was waffles, with sausage links and slices of strawberries on the side.

"Tanner you didn't have to do all this!" She exclaimed with a huge smile on her face wrapping her arms around him.

They sat down at the kitchen table, sitting in a comfortable silence eating their food. Once they finished the rinsed their plates off putting them in the dishwasher. Afterwards they laid in Anna's bed watching movies and cuddling before Anna fell asleep on Tanner's chest.
