Anna and Daniel are best friends trying to navigate through life and relationships together as friends, but the true reason the universe doesn't allow others to work out is because they're meant to be together. Will they figure it out?
Around 3pm that afternoon Anna woke up to find Tanner not laying in bed with her anymore "That's odd" she thought to herself as she got up and made her way to the bathroom. After leaving the bathroom she made her way to her backyard where she let Buck out to use the bathroom, She didn't see Tanner on her way out here either. Anna's mind wondered as she thought about where Tanner might be. But she decided to text Daniel.
Anna: Hey Daniel, I was wondering if Tanner and I could come over later before our date?
Daniel: Sorry, I won't be home, I have a date tonight
Anna: Ooo, you didn't tell me you were dating someone again!?!? Who is she??
Daniel: Her name is Sarah, She's really sweet!
Anna: As long as she treats your right ☺️I can't wait to meet her! I'll talk to you later, I gotta find Tanner.
Daniel: Later Anna
With that Anna took Buck back inside and decided to go to the kitchen to get a monster out of the fridge, then walked into the front room. There she found Tanner sitting on the couch playing Apex Legends.
"Ah there you are, I got worried when you wasn't in bed with me still," Anna said as she sat in the chair.
"Sorry babe, I just couldn't sleep anymore and I didn't wanna wake you since you worked last night" Tanner said not breaking eye contact with the tv.
Anna nodded not verbally replying. She tried to not let her past relationships make her worry about something so simple. She couldn't help to think about Daniel and how he didn't tell her before hand about Sarah, "Is he hiding things too?" She thought to herself, she shook those thoughts away Daniel is her best friend he'd never hide stuff from her.
5 o'clock rolled around and Anna broke the silence they'd been in while he gamed and she read 'Hunger Games', Anna looked up at Tanner, "Tanner" she called to him and he just kept playing his game. Anna frowned.
Still looking at him "Tanner!" Anna said a little louder.
"What!?" Tanner snapped, making Anna jump.
"I just wanted to ask what time, we needed to leave for our date tonight," Anna said trying not to sound hurt by his response
Tanner sighed before responding "We need to leave around 5:30, so go get ready"
"Alright babe," With that Anna headed to her room to shower and get ready. After her shower Anna walks to her closet to pick out her outfit.

After she finished get dressed she walked back into to bathroom, to do a basic make up look. She then decided she wanted to straighten her hair. After she was done getting ready she walked downstairs around 5:20 to the front room.
"So how do I look?" She asked Tanner as she sat on the chair.
Looking up Tanner had a blank expression on his face "You look great babe" he said not sounding sincere, leaving Anna puzzled.
"Thanks babe, I'm ready to go" She replied "Are we taking my car or yours?"
"Uh mine, so let's go" He said as he walked outside to his blue Honda Civic, with Anna behind him.

Tanner pulled out of the driveway and drove towards Outback Steakhouse.
