Together Someday

Chapter 5

Anna woke up to several missed calls and several unread texts from Tanner trying to apologize and explain himself but Anna didn't want to hear any of his excuses. She blocked his number and went to block him on every bit of social media. Anna left absolutely no way for him to contact her unless he showed up at her house. Anna decided she wasn't going to stay sad over him very long because he didn't deserve it. He didn't deserve that satisfaction. Anna got up out of bed and put on workout gear and put Buck's biking harness on him and took a nice 3 mile casual ride to ease her mind and to feel better. Once Anna and Buck got back home Anna decided to make herself some food. Anna remembered Daniel had a date also last night and decided to reach out to him.

Anna: Hey Daniel, I was wondering how your date went last night?

Daniel: It didn't she never showed up😪What a waste of time

Anna: Wanna come over and drink later? I just wanna relax and let loose

Daniel: Yeah sure! Let's drink. Be there at 8pm.

Anna: See ya then!

Looking at the clock she had four hours to clean. So she turned on some music and got to cleaning. She carpet cleaned her bedroom, she mopped the kitchen and downstairs, she even got Buck's kennel cleaned out and washed his blankets. It was nice out so she decided to clean out her vehicles. She walked out to her truck and car and took out her clothes and water bottles. She decided to vacuum the fur out of her truck. Anna kenneled Buck and went out to her car to head to the store. She drove to the liquor store by her house to pick up some Vodka and Jameson. After she paid and walked out she drove to Walmart to do some grocery shopping. She picked up her and Daniel's favorite sodas Pepsi and Dr. Pepper, some pizza rolls, ramen noodles and other foods to cook throughout the next week or so. Anna paid for everything and walked out to her car and put everything in the trunk.

Daniel arrived at Anna's house, he walked in carrying a case of wine coolers in their favorite flavor. Holding the case up to show Anna.

Anna, "Oh so we're getting fucked up," she says holding up the bottles of vodka and Jameson she bought.

"Oh fuck yes, it's gonna be great," Daniel exclaims putting the wine coolers in the fridgeHe grabbed the liquor from Anna and put them in the fridge too.

They walked into the front room after Anna let Buck out of his kennel. They sat down on the couch and Buck laid between them. Anna turned on the Xbox, handing a controller to Daniel. They decided to play some Minecraft and relax.

"So what happened with Tanner? Everything seemed great between you two" Daniel asked trying to help his best friend.

"So as you know we had our date last night," Daniel nodded listening as Anna continued, "Well turns out he's been dating one of the waitresses for the last 5 months at the same time."

Daniel's face soured, "I'm gonna kill him," he said with anger in his voice, "No one cheats on you and gets away with it."

"Don't stress about it, he'll get his karma one day," Anna responded.

Daniel relaxed a bit, "You're right. He'll get what's coming to him."

Anna sighed, "I'm gonna go get us a drink," she said smiling bc her bestie has her back always.
