I apologise because this will be a crappy chapter but I will come back to it and fix it later in
(Two years later)
The thing most associated with time is healing. What people don't tell you is that although time may heal you it also changes you a lot!
And especially when it's been two years. Two years since everything changed for me and I changed just the same.
I turned 18 two weeks ago.
But there wasn't much to celebrate and no one to celebrate it with; my parents' financial state got a lot better last year when mum got a landscaping gig that was paying major bucks, and dad had been promoted at work. It's funny how when the money was needed to save Nicky they were both struggling, but now that he was gone their luck had changed, it was almost like fate was mocking me. So since they were now well off they decided I deserved a place of my own, which was a way of saying we don't want you here anymore. So when they gave me the power of choosing where I wanted to live I jumped at the chance and chose to live in London, and since I had yet to graduate from high school they allowed me to stay with them until I graduated three months ago and then they let me pick out the place I wanted online, called the realtor and made the offer. I flew out 10 days before my birthday and thus spent it alone.
And Micah. Well he was practically a stranger now, he dropped out my life and after a while I stopped trying to make contact with him. After I got settled in I went job hunting and after a while I finally managed to get a gig bar tending at The palace bar, the owner was a sweet lady her name was Lorraine, and the staff consisted of her daughter Liz, her niece Lola and another higher like me his name was James.
I started work two days after my birthday and I was starting to get the hang of it pretty quickly. It was peaceful for about two months.
I went from my apartment to work and from work to my apartment. I also enrolled in online classes. I didn't go out much but I enjoyed it when I did. The city was beautiful and I was in love with it.I walked into work expecting a full house but it was relatively quiet. Not many customers were there which was weird because it was a Thursday and it's usually our busiest night.
I had the bar tonight and Liz was with me while Lola was on waitress duty.
James had the week off because he took his girl friend away on vacation so he can propose.
I put my stuff in the back office and walked behind the bar and wiped it down. I took a few orders from the bar and made the few orders Lola got. I'd just given her the whiskey shots she asked for and was about to go take another order when my eyes caught a tall man entering the bar.
My heart stopped and I couldn't breath. What was he doing here? After all this time when I was finally getting myself together he decided to show up?
He stepped further into the bar and I could see his face more clearly; his hair was longer but he still looked exactly the same as he did two years ago. And then he turned his head and his eyes connected with mine. Micah!
