I've been thinking about this story and before I start, here is some background info on the main characters. Also, please note, there is no order to these. I will indicate when they're set at the start.
Valkyries are the guardians of the skies, dragons are the guardians of the mountains, kitsune are the guardians of the forests and humans are the guardians of the cities. There are 4 ranks: commoners, warriors, elementals(warriors who can control the elements) and the royals(the diamond empress, the king(elemental who married the diamond prodigy)and the diamond prodigy, the next in line to rule, will become diamond empress at age 25). There is a fifth rank, goddess, but there hasn't been any goddesses in over five thousand years. Each race has a goddess for the realm they guard. All Valkyries, Dragons, and Kitsune have low level magic, such as telekinesis and the ability to talk telepathically, and the warriors have the ability to cast illusions, but the elementals and royals can cast portals, manifest objects, and have near unlimited energy.
Valkrie Prodigies complete the First Ascension when they turn 25, with the exception of goddesses. During the ceremony, they gain their full powers, swear their loyalty to Imperium Caeli and accept the responsibilities of the previous holder of their Element. All valkyries stop aging after 25.
