Osamu's mother was not happy when she found out all her "products" had been "flushed."
Neither of the twins expected her to be.
Slap
Osamu closed his eyes.
His mother grabbing him by the hair and forced him to bend backwards, pain shooting through his scalp.
"Ya wanna flush my shit?!" She screamed. She grabbed a needle and stabbed Osamu's arm, blood leaking out of his broken skin. He grunted, the pain searing.
She dragged the needle around then pushed the syringe.
Osamu's eyes widened as he yanked his arm away, accidentally whipping his hand against her face.
"Oh!" She cried out, rubbing her cheek. "Ya li'l' shit!"
Osamu lost his balance and fell back at the worst possible time. His mother took advantage of his vulnerable position and kicked his back, pain shooting up his spine. He coughed when her foot slammed down on his ribcage after he rolled onto his side.
Crack.
Fuck, Osamu thought to himself, feeling nauseous and dizzy. His vision was blurry.
He could barely think.
He was unable to focus on his mother.
He felt sick.
Feverish.
At what point did his mom leave?
"'Samu...?"
Shit... Osamu closed his eyes, tears squeezing past his tight lids. Why now?
"Fuck, 'Samu? 'Samu, can ya hear me?" Atsumu's voice was soft. Osamu groaned. "Hang on, 'm gonna call Mido."
Osamu could distantly hear the phone ring while Atsumu murmured nonsense, giving him a voice to focus on. His eyes drooped and his stomach churned. He trembled, curling up and chewing his lip.
"Shit, 'Samu-hang on Mido-don' do that-" Atsumu tugged down Osamu's lip with his thumb to prevent him from tearing the skin anymore. "Shit, jus' get here, please. Nah, i's not me... 'm fine this time. I swear... it's 'Samu." Atsumu's voice trembled. "Stop-listen, he shot up some dope, an' he's never done it b'fore. He's sick, burnin' up. Just get here."
Osamu shuddered again, his body freezing but his flesh scorching.
"Shh, shh, shh, it's okay. Yer gonna be alright," Atsumu hummed. He brushed the hair out of Osamu's face then ran his fingers through his grey tresses. "Deep breaths," he whispered.
Osamu opened his eyes, just barely making out Atsumu's face through his hazy vision.
He hated himself.
How could he let Atsumu see him like this? So weak.
It was scary, how much he would let his mother get away with, just to make sure he never got separated from his twin. To stop her from hurting Atsumu. He knew when he was being gaslighted. He never wanted his brother to feel that.
Every time his mother said,
You deserve this.
It's your fault.
I'm not doing anything wrong.
For a split second, he believed it.
And it was the worst feeling in the world.
