one month later..

Christina's POV||
Since Chasity has been here, I've been a little less sad. She takes my mind off of everything, and I've been feeling better.

I have a photo shoot today, and Chasity's going with me. But before we went, I had to stop by the studio.

"Hey Christina. Hey Chasity," Nevaeh said when we walked through the door.

I walked past her without saying anything, but Chasity's dumb ass flicked her off.

"What was that for?" Nevaeh asked, "you talked to me last time I saw you."

"That was before I knew you were a fake bitch," Chasity spat.

Oh God. Let me hurry up and get Chasity out of here.

I quickly got everything I needed and when I went back to the lobby, Chasity was talking to Rob, one of the photographers that works here. I immediately got pissed and stormed in their direction.

"Oh, hey Chr--"

"What are you doing?" I asked him, "why are you talking to her?"

"She looked bored and I was just keeping her company," he said, "what's the big deal?"

I closed my eyes and bit down on my bottom lip out of frustration, "the big deal is she's only fourteen, and I don't want you talking to her."

"We were just talking."

He looked at her, winked, then smirked, and she just held her head down and smiled.

"Since you can't seem to grasp the fact that she's fourteen, let me make one thing clear: if you talk to her, look at her, think about her or even breathe in her direction, I swear to God I will knock out every single one of your teeth, and then I'll fucking fire you. Stay the hell away from my little sister."

I definitely instilled some fear in him and to be honest, I scared myself a little. I don't threaten people and I don't really like confrontation, but I'm so sick of everyone these days. I guess I just snapped.

I grabbed Chasity's arm, and we left the studio with Landon behind us.

Blake's POV||
While I was in my man cave with DJ, Matt & Cory, I heard the front door open and shortly after, Nevaeh walked in. She looked tired or upset, but I didn't think much of it.

"What's up, Vaeh. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at work?" I asked, looking at the time.

She sighed, "Chris is gone, so I left for a minute because I need to talk to you."

"Okay. About what?"

"About what you've done to Christina."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. What could I have possibly done to Christina that we need to talk about it?

"What are you talking about?" I asked, uninterested in where this conversation was going.

"Blake, you know Christina is the sweetest person we know, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, she's not the same person anymore. Today, I watched her threaten someone and on top of that, she rarely smiles anymore."

"Your point?"

I know I sounded like an asshole, but I don't see the significance of what she's saying. So what if Christina threatened someone. Maybe her toughening up is a good thing.

"I'm only gonna ask this once," she started, "were those pictures you showed us altered in any way? Was it even Christina?"

"It was definitely her," I said, turning my attention back to the TV, "just drop it, alright?"

She groaned, "I can't just drop it! You two are my best friends, and I took your side because of those pictures."

"I didn't tell you to do that," I semi-yelled, "I get that she's your friend but if she's miserable, it's her own fault."

She sat back on the couch and sighed, "I guess you're right."

Matt scoffed and when we all looked at him, he was shaking his head. I know he's very pro Christina, so I can only imagine what he's thinking.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked him.

"You two are unbelievable," he mumbled, "if you didn't care about Christina like you claim you didn't, you wouldn't be sitting here talking about her. It's childish."

He makes a valid point.

"What the fuck are talking about?" Nevaeh asked, "Blake might not care about her, but I do; she's my best friend."

"If you're her best friend, she needs some new friends," he said harshly.

Damn.

Matt stood up to leave, but Nevaeh stood up and got in his face. I've never seen these two so angry, but it was interesting to watch.

"You don't need to say anything about my friendship with Christina because you don't know shit."

"I do know that you're fake as hell," he spat.

Nevaeh took a step back then narrowed her eyes at him. I know what that look means. She's gonna try to say something to get under Matt's skin.

"Why are you so quick to defend her? You're Blake's teammate & friend, so shouldn't your loyalty be to him? Are you tryna fuck Christina or something?"

Matt chuckled and stepped up to her, "you're pathetic. And you're the last person that should be saying anything to me about loyalty. If it weren't for Chris, you wouldn't even know Blake, but you're all on his dick, taking his side. So let's talk about loyalty now, Nevaeh."

Her face softened and I swear it looked like she was about to cry. That was pretty intense.

Without saying another word, Matt walked out of the room, and I heard the front door close.

I never would've thought me breaking up Christina would take such a toll on our friends.
