Blake's POV||
I still feel like shit after last night. I know Chris said she wasn't mad, but I know she's still upset. She did talk to me this morning, but she probably wanted to ignore me.After practice, I went home to take a shower, then I went back to Christina's house. I went in the kitchen, and Chasity was sitting at the counter talking on the phone.
"You're back?" she whispered.
"Yeah." I leaned against the counter and crossed my arms over my chest, "where's Chris?"
"Backyard," she said, biting into an apple, "oh and if she talks to you, ask her what the name of this song is."
I hadn't even realized music was playing until Chasity mentioned it.
I walked out to the backyard, and Christina was lying in a chair with her sunglasses on, and she was mouthing the words to the song playing from the speakers.
"Hey babe."
"Hey."
"This is a nice song," I said, hoping to start a conversation, "what's it called?"
She finished mouthing the words to the chorus before answering, "'My Little Secret' by Xscape."
I nodded and sat in the chair beside her. I was hoping she would at least look at me, but she didn't.
"How was your day?"
"It was straight."
"So ─"
"Blake, I know what you're doing," she interrupted me, "you ain't slick. You're tryna get me to warm up so we can talk about what happened last night, and I don't feel like it. Besides, there's not much to talk about. You basically admitted that you want to be the father to Staci's baby."
Chris turned the volume up when the song changed, not giving me a chance to speak. Knowing it was a bad, I got up and turned the music off.
"Christina, listen...I don't wanna be the father of Staci's baby. I just want another kid, preferably with you."
"Blake, you knew before we got together that I didn't want kids, so I'm confused."
She took off her sunglasses and for the first time all day, she looked at me.
"And we haven't even been dating for a year, so it's a little early to be having this talk," she continued, putting her sunglasses back on.
"I know. I just -"
She blew out a sharp breath, grabbed me by my shirt and slammed her lips into mine. I somehow ended up in her chair with her in my lap without breaking the kiss.
"Don't think I forgot about you calling me a liar last night either," she said, laying her head on my shoulder, "next time you piss me off, I'm gonna beat the shit outta you, and I've been waiting to fight someone for the last three months."
I laughed a little, but it slowly died down when I remembered what Chasity said about her taking boxing classes.
"I promise to stop -"
"Don't make promises you can't keep," she said, getting off my lap and walking inside.
I followed her into the house and into the living room, where she was sitting with Chasity.
The doorbell rang, she jumped up to get it and on the other side was my parents, her parents and her grandma.
"Mimi!"
Everyone walked in the house, and she gave her grandma a hug. She greeted my parents and gave her parents a dry "hello" as her grandma walked up to me.
