three weeks later..
Christina's POV||
I haven't done anything but look at these ugly ass walls for the last three weeks because I'm not allowed to leave this room at all. Todd keeps me tied up in that chair all the time. Sometimes he unties me, but that's only because the window doesn't open, and he locks the door when he leaves.
I do take showers, but he doesn't let me do it myself. He has plenty of clothes for me and the weird thing is, they're all clothes I'd actually wear. He's obviously been stalking me long enough to know my style.
I stood up from the chair and hobbled, yes hobbled, over to the window. A couple days ago, I broke the handcuffs that were around my ankles in an attempt to get away and when Todd saw, he broke my right ankle.
I sat in the chair by the window and looked outside, even though there wasn't much to look at. I started thinking about Chasity and how scared she must have been these last three weeks. My eyes started to water just thinking about it. I miss my little sister.
I heard the door being unlocked, so I checked the time, like I've done everyday since I've been here. It's noon, meaning it's time for "lunch."
"I brought you something to eat," Todd said.
I looked at him just as my tears spilled over my eyes, then looked at the tray in his hands.
"I'm not hungry," I said dryly.
I turned to look back out of the window, and I heard him set the tray on the floor. I soon felt his presence behind me, but I ignored him.
"Why are you crying?" he asked.
"It doesn't matter," I curtly spoke, "you're not gonna let me go if I tell you."
He sighed and I heard him walk out of the room. To my surprise, he didn't lock the door behind him. I then heard the front door close, and I saw him walking outside to his car.
He left me here alone and untied? And he didn't lock the door? This is too good to be true.
I thought about trying to escape, but then I heard someone walking toward the door. I knew it was too good to be true.
When the person walked in, I wanted to grab the fork off the tray and stab her with it.
"Get away from me, psycho," I said, glaring at her.
"Ms. Jackson, I'm so sorry," Miranda said sympathetically.
"I don't want your apology!" I shouted, "is this what you two do as a couple?! You go around framing & kidnapping people?"
She shook her head, "no. I didn't know these were his intentions. Had I known, I would've never gotten involved."
She was on the verge of tears, making me believe she was sincere, but what do I know?
"How did you even get involved in this?" I asked curiously, "you seem like a sane human being. What are you doing with Todd?"
She chuckled, "we're not together; we're just friends. He told me he wanted to make his ex-girlfriend jealous, so that's why I scheduled that dinner. I never thought he'd do something like this. I didn't even know you were up here until today."
"So you can let me go?!" I said with a little hope in my voice.
She bit the corner of her lip and furrowed her eyebrows, "I'm sorry. I can't do that."
Did she just...? Is she really gonna...?
"Why not?! He's not here. Just tell him you were in the bathroom and I got away," I suggested.
