Binded, yet Broken

|#1. Prologue|

Mumbai is a city of dreams or happiness to many people. But this didn't come to true for Ruhana Mehra, aka, Ruhana Singhaniya presently. Her life has turned upside-down after she has come to Mumbai. Okay! Life isn't a bed of roses, and she didn't think it to be the same either. She came into the city to earn some money, post her parents' demise. She got a job soonish, thanks to her skills and as an added perk, she found her soulmate, Vineet Singhaniya, who turned out to be the boss of the company where she went for her first interview. Vineet's dad, Sanjay Singhaniya appointed her at the first meet. Ruhana finds her dream coming true. Time passes, soon the bud of friendship between Vineet and Ruhana bloomed into the flower of love and the duo got married. Life seems good.

Life is good for the two love birds and soonish, they turned into three --- when their daughter is born. They name her Bulbul, who's chirpy and fun-loving just like her name. She adds light, colour and love to their life. The small family is truly blessed.

But as they say, happiness is short-lived. Silent storms can hit you, even without letting you feel it coming. The same thing happened with Ruhana. The revelation that came to reality shook her. It seems that her whole world has turned upside down.

After twenty years of knowing each other, after eighteen years of marriage, her heart is broken into thousand pieces. The revelation is about her husband, Vineet, his deeds, his character and his love. The new piece of information has shaken her fully. And when she stands to confront him, his answers leave her shocked, hurt, heartbroken.

It is hard for her to believe that the person whom she loved with all her heart, the one to whom she fully surrendered herself, has done something bad, something heinous and he is completely guilt-free of all the work he has done.

"How can you be so carefree and guilt-free?" She asks him.

"Why shouldn't I? I mean, I did it for our family." He says with a sly smile and a smirk playing on her lips.

"No! You did it for yourself. You're hungry for money." She shouts at him, but it only pushes him to laugh at her words.

"Oh yes! I am hungry. After all, money is important, and I want it all. You know!" He smirks at her.

"You should be happy, Love. It's all for you, us, and our Princess." He says cheekily and reaches for her hand, but she jerks him.

"Just Shut up, Vineet! How could you think that I'll use that money of yours! Just stop it all! Since when are you doing all of it! And what's the need?" She asks him, she wants to know the reason for all his bad deeds.

"Oh! You don't worry about that,honey. Just concentrate on the mangoes, not the seeds. " He says, a smirk playing on his lips.

She is shocked to see his attitude, and her eyes widen when he moves close to her. She is suddenly scared of his angry demeanour, his eyes look intense as if he will burn her with a single gaze. She puts her hands on his chest with fear bubbling in her heart. He bends down to her level.

"You just have to stay quiet, otherwise I will deprive you of all your happiness. Just mind your business." He says roughly and leaves the space, leaving Ruhana shocked.
