At Robotnik's Control Room.

"Sir, your Virtual Reality Shriek-Bot is ready for flight-testing," Snively said. "you oversized toad." he mumbled.

"Excuse me, what was that Snively?" Robotnik asked.

"Oh, I said, I'll key in your code sir."

"Hmm, very good. I must say I'm excited by the prospects of this Snively, very excited indeed."

"Oh, and I'm very excited for you, your immense density," he said. "smarmy fool." he mumbled.

Sonic and Sally were hidden inside Hanger Bay.

"Woah, that tub looks too swift. What are those pipes behind the wings?" Sonic asked.

"Blast thrusters. That plane may actually be faster than you." Sally said.

"Faster than moi? In Robuttniks' dreams. Check this..." Sonic said.

"Sonic, not now. We need to get back to Knothole." Sally said.

"Yeah you're... Sal, it's Uncle Chuck!"

Then he looked around for one of the others or Aleena but saw no one else.

'Damnit!' he thought.

At Robotnik's Control Room.

"Sir, monitor one!" Snively said.

"Well, surprise surprise. Activate laser cannon!" Robotnik said.

At Hangar Bay Sonic snuck around the Shriek-Bot.

"That's it hedgehog, a little closer... Perfect." Robotnik said projecting in Shriek-Bot's window.

"Sonic." Sally whispered.

"Sweet dreams, Rodent."

"Sonic, above you!" she shouted out.

"Huh?" Sonic said and looked up to the cannon.

Robotnik laughed and fired the laser, as the chase ensued.

"Woah, haunch time Sal!" Sonic said and carried Sally, being chased down city street by the Shriek-Bot. "Man, that sucker cranks serious." he said and Sally gave Sonic the Power Ring from his backpack. "Way to juice me Sal, Hang on!"

Sonic's wake threw the Shriek-Bot out of control, forcing it to retreat.

"Sniiiveeelllyyyy wooooaaaaahh." Robotnik said disoriented.

Later at Robotnik's Control Room the Shriek-Bot was docking back in its hangar on the monitors as Robotnik emerged from the VR chamber he used to remote-pilot it.

"You...lied to me Snively." he said. "Just like those other ones!"

"Lied, Sir?" Snively said.

"You said that the Shriek-Bot could outrun the HEDGEHOG!"

"It can sir, we just need to install more thrust boosters."

"Snively, what color is my heart?" Robotnik asked and opened mouth for Snively to peer in.

"I don't see a heart sir."

"Exactly."

At Knothole Village Tails flew along happily on his way to Rotor's hut and was stopped from entering in by Dulcy.
