Blast to the Past, Part 2

At the Royal Palace.

Robotnik laughed.

"Your majesty. Members of the Royal Court, may I welcome you to the capitol of my new kingdom. Robotropolis. A city. Of the future." he said.

"Sonic, you and Sally must leave, now." Chuck said.

"Not without you, Unc." Sonic said fighting the want to take out his guitar.

"Any final words for your subjects? Sire?" Robotnik asked.

"You can't win this, Julian." the king said.

"The name is no longer Julian! From this day forward, I... am Robotnik."

"I mean it. Take the others now and get out." Chuck said.

"No way Unc!" Sonic said.

"There's no time to argue Sonic. You must get the kids to Knothole. Now I'm going to scramble the program on the bots, then you take off. Run like the wind, boy! Hey bot, say cheese!"

"Sir Charles, you dare resist! Get him, get him!" Robotnik said.

"Grab on, Sal!" Sonic said and ran off with Sally.

"Snively, what was that?"

"Something very blue, sir!" Snively said.

'Hmmmmm, it can't be.' Robotnik thought.

In Uncle Chuck's House.

"Sonic, Sally!" Sally said.

"Maybe Rosie already took them to Knothole." Sonic said.

"Maybe." she said then the Swat-Bots crashed through the wall.

"You are under arrest." it said.

Sonic froze for a second a little out of it.

"Sonic, listen to me. Run as fast as you can to Uncle Chuck's. Don't stop and don't look back!" hs foster father said.

"Why? What about you?" he asked.

"We'll be okay, Sonic. But you know what I need to see? The biggest rev you've ever done!"

"Really? You want me to rev?"

"Sure do, pal. Let's see it."

"We love you, son!" his foster mother said.

"Go, Sonic! GO!"

"Citizen. You are under arrest." a Swatbot said.

He gasped.

"Oh no!" he said and cried and returned to the burning house. "Noooo!" he said and gasped.

"Sonny!" Chuck said.

"Huh?" he said and ran to his arms. "Uncle Chuck!" he said and cried.

"It's gonna be all right, sonny boy."

Then he came back fighting tears.

In the holding cells.

"Manic!" young Sonic said.

"Hang in kids, we'll get you out. Hey, chill metal head! We'll be back." Sonic said.

"Sonic, we have to get the kids out! If they're roboticized..." Sally said.

"Then we'll be robots too."

"Worse, we won't exist."

"Won't exist, you mean like not alive and kicking?"

"Precisely."
