Charlie woke up abruptly to Carl's hand over her mouth. She pried it off of her, Carl put his finger up to his mouth tell her to be quiet.
She heard slight moans outside and shuffling. Walkers. She reached for her knife but quickly realised she left it in her cell, she looked at Carl and realised he didn't have anything on him either.
Charlie heard multiple walkers outside the door and looked around the room that she had not been able to see clearly at night.
She spotted a storage closet and beckoned for Carl to come.
"This might have some weapons in it," she whispered. She lightly moved the doorknob, locked. Of course it was, she looked for something to open it with. Carl started pushing the door trying to open it with his body weight.
The walkers heard the thumping and started to bang on their door .
"Carl! Stop." she ordered quietly, but he didn't.
"Do you trust me?" he asked.
"Not at all, Grimes." she teased.
He took her hand and ushered her out the window.
"A-Are you insane?? If i jump, I'll die." she whisper yelled. Carl climbed out the window and held on to the ledge, by now the walkers were banging loudly. The knob rattled, begging to be still. Charlie contemplated as Carl held out his hand, only holding on to the ledge with one. He grabbed her hand and pulled her out, and BAM the door gave out. The walkers poured in but to their dismay they didn't see anyone.
"Are you- Are you crazy?! We could've died!" Charlie screamed as she tried to catch her breath, they landed on a roof not far from the window.
"Wow.. You really have no trust in me at all Charlie" Carl said as a he shook his head.
"Carl! Charlie!" they heard rick scream, he was running outside looking for them.
"We're here!!" Charlie yelled as flailed her arms, Rick squinted to see them clearly. He sprinted closer holding his hands up as if signaling them to stay.
"HIDE UNDER THE LEDGE!! THERE IS A HERD OF WALKERS WALKING PAST THE ROOM YOU WERE IN!!" Rick bellowed from below. Quickly, Carl grabbed Charlie's waist pulling her again the wall closest to the window they jumped out from. Charlie knew that if the walkers looked over they wouldn't see them hiding under the ledge of the window. Carl's breath shallowed as he held Charlie
close to his chest. They could hear the moans of the walkers who were walking slowly and not taking their time to go into the room they were once in.
