Charlie's POV

It had been weeks since the day of the accident. Charlie was still a bit shaken up but she didn't let it show. By now the boy; whose name she learned was Carl, had healed. They had become close friends now and Charlie liked having friends again.
"Charlie! Why don't you come here and I'll try to tame that wild hair of yours?" Lori beckoned her over. Charlie put her book down and she sat in front of Lori. Lori brushed her hair, "You know I've always wanted a daughter.." Lori spoke quietly.
Charlie laughed, "But you got Carl instead?"
"I'm grateful for Carl, I really am. But let me tell you a secret between you and me. When he was a baby I used to dress him in up in dresses." Lori laughed wholeheartedly. Charlie threw her head back while she laughed, but she heard Lori stop laughing all of a sudden. She

Present Time
"Time's are a changin' people, and we have too with it. Those people in the barn they're not sick. They're dead and they have no morals. There's no cure!!" Shane screams as he steps towards the barn.
There was nothing in the barn anyway, it was just supplies, did Shane need supplies?
"Shane stop right there.! Don't get closer to the barn," Rick warns as he reaches for his gun.
"What're you gonna do? Shoot me? You know that these walkers are dangerous and I'm protecting Carl and Lori, something that YOU would NEVER BE ABLE TO DO!" Shane screams as his face turns red. He unlocks the chain that was on the bar and ran back toward where we gathered.
"Charlie, Carl, don't look. Cover your ears.." Lori soothed.
"What..why??" I couldn't even finish my sentence before gunshots cut me off.
BANG. BANG.
I turned around frantically trying to see what was happening only to be stopped by Carl. He turned me around and covered my ears as Lori covered his.

"Help! HELP SOMEBODY HELP!!", I hear as i was inside the kitchen.
I followed behind Maggie and Glenn. Maggie gasped when she got outside. There were walkers everywhere. They came from every direction and they had gotten Dale. I wasn't close with him but seeing him surrounded by them made my heart ache.
I was shook out of my daze when I heard gunshots,
"Charlie, Charlie listen to me baby." Maggie says as she leans closer and hold my shoulders.
"We have to leave, we can- we can't stay here anymore, it's not safe. Go pack some clothes and food, we'll be waiting for you here," she whispers.
I shake my head, "We can't leave- We can't, Maggie" I gulped as I choked back tears.
She just shook her head no and pointed for me to go upstairs.

"Did you see them?? Carl did you see my family leave the farm, I have to- I have to know. Please Carl, did they make it out..?" I pleaded.
"We can't leave them- We can't leave them behind.. turn the car back around please Rick.." I sobbed. They stayed silent.
Finally Rick spoke up, "The herd must've heard the gunshots and came. We can't go back, they're strong. Your family are strong they will have made it out. We're going to the highway where we left supplies for Sophia.." he cautioned.
Carl looked back at me and gave me his hand, he smiled as I intertwined mine with his. I sniffled as I prayed for the best, not trying about the worst case scenarios.
