"Hey!" Dawn's voice caught Paper's attention, and she turned around quickly. "You all ready? I just wanted to test out the power of that yoyo on him, we never got a chance to do that after last time while it was locked up. Hope we didn't keep you waiting."

"No, no," Lulu gave her a huge grin. The smile of a predator ready to pounce, Paper thought, laughing to herself about how much fun she was going to have with her prey. But perhaps the kestrel didn't notice, because she showed no sign of apprehension. "We've just been thinking about these suggestions."

"You're really okay with running the whole gamut of baby behaviours?" Paper asked.

"Yeah. Well, whatever you're comfortable with, really. I wouldn't like to do anything that seems too extreme. Want to swap?"

She was holding out the yellow yoyo again, the toy they would need when they wanted to give Spanky posthypnotic suggestions. Paper took it from her, and offered her other hand with the blue one in. But, having got some sense for what her Mistress was planning now, she turned her paw around and let the little disc of plastic spin towards the floor. LED stars on each side flickered into life as it went, and Dawn uttered a breath that wasn't even a syllable before her head was bobbing up and down, following every movement with her eyes.

"Good. You know how this feels, don't you?" Paper muttered nervously, but gained confidence as Dawn kept on nodding. "You're sinking back into a trance, your conscious mind is only aware of the stars spinning around in front of you, while your unconscious is learning to obey all the words I say. These are the rules of the game, and you want to take in all these words so that the game will be fair, and so that it will be fun for everyone. You want to do that, don't you?"

The kestrel's head bobbed up and down a little faster, while her eyes kept on tracking the yoyo in its repeating path. Lulu patted Paper on the shoulder, reassuring her that she was doing well. Spanky was standing back a little with a grin on his face; maybe worrying about how he would feel when he was given the same suggestions, or perhaps enjoying a first opportunity to see his girlfriend hypnotised while his own mind was still clear. He'd learn soon enough. As he watched, Lulu moved over to whisper something to him, but Paper didn't pay them too much attention. She was too busy focusing on what she needed to say.

"In a few minutes, when everyone is ready, I'm going to ask if you are ready," she said. "It might take you a few seconds to realise that the game has started, but there's nothing wrong with that because it will be the same for both cubs. You're okay with that, aren't you? Making a little surprise out of the start, just to help us all get into the right frame of mind. Now, you're not a baby now. You're an adult, and you don't do childish things. And you'll still know everything you knew as an adult, like how old you really are, and your relationships with everyone here. But even though you know how mature you are, you will start to feel a little childish, and it will be harder to control your emotions. Is that okay?"

Dawn kept nodding. Smiling. She didn't know what she was listening to, but she knew she was loving it.

"Now, there are other things you know as an adult that a child might not notice. For example, do you need to use the bathroom now? Do you think it would be a good idea to go before the game starts?" Another nod from Dawn. "Good. Well, once the game starts you will still be able to feel that, but you might start to notice it less. Any time the yoyos are used during the game, whether it's yours or Spanky's, you will find it a little easier not to notice that you need to go. And every time you have an accident during the game, your feelings of childishness, and helplessness, will grow even stronger. And right now, even though you're still an adult, you won't notice the pressure in your bladder. Let yourself feel it fading away, focusing on the game, and on my words, so much that a silly thing like the urge to pee can't distract you. You can do that, can't you? But when I ask if you're ready to start, you will notice that feeling. And having waited a little longer, you will notice it more suddenly. More urgently. Can you imagine that? You will feel sure that you need to go before the game. But with every step you take it will get more urgent, and those muscles will relax a little more. After three or four steps, depending how hard you concentrate on holding it, or maybe even five steps, you will find your bladder empties completely regardless of your efforts to stop it. All of your desperation turning into surprise and embarrassment, feeling as helpless as a hatching who's had a little accident, and realised she's not quite the big girl she thought. Can you imagine all of that? The helplessness, and the embarrassment? Let those images sink more deeply into your mind the more you think about them."
