003 | the fall

"Are we all here?" asked Hyunsuk as soon as him and the boys got out of the venue.

Jihoon looked back, seeing five boys behind him. "We are complete," he responded before heading to his car which is parked a little away from the venue.

Mashiho, Junkyu, and Jihoon rode on the same car. Meanwhile, Hyunsuk, Yoshinori, Asahi, and Jaehyuk were in another car.

"I see what you did there, Kanemoto," Jaehyuk teased as soon as he sat on the backseat of Hyunsuk's car.

Looking back from the front seat, Yoshinori raised an eyebrow. "What?" he coldly asked the boy from the front seat.

"You just kissed Yunhee!" Jaehyuk exclaimed while clapping his hands like a seal. "I saw it before you shot that guy hiding nearby."

Out of surprise, Hyunsuk accidentally honked the car. His eyes landed on Jaehyuk, then to Yoshinori. "You kissed who?!" Hyunsuk shrieked. "Yunhee? Jang Yunhee?!"

"Wait, before you guys go talk about the kiss, let us talk about the guy first," Asahi interrupted as he met eyes with Yoshinori. "Do you know the guy that you shot?" he asks the latter.

"No," Yoshinori quickly responded. "But I know that he is one of our rivals because he was aiming a gun at me first."

"Okay, then why did you kiss Yunhee in the first place?"

Jaehyuk's question made everyone to lay their eyes on Yoshinori. The boys waited for an answer from the cold boy, but they received none.

"Come on," Hyunsuk whined. "A word would be enough as an answer."

"Distraction," Yoshi spoke before looking outside the car window.

"Distraction, huh," Hyunsuk snickered before starting the engine of his car and tailed behind Jihoon's car.

Glaring from the front seat, Yoshinori let out a huff. It annoyed him when they made that kiss a big deal.

"That 'vongole pasta one dish guy' would literally kill you if he knew that you kissed his sister," Jaehyuk chuckled.

With an eyebrow raised, Yoshinori eyed Jaehyuk from the rearview mirror of Hyunsuk's car.

"Jang Yunseo," spoke Asahi without even sparing a glance on Yoshinori.

They all fell silent after that for a couple of minutes. Only the sound of the engine filled the car ride, not until Hyunsuk let out a curse.

"Damn it," the leader cursed under his breath.

Looking onto the driver's seat, Asahi raised an eyebrow. "What's the matter?" he asked.

"I lost track of Jihoon's car," said Hyunsuk as he gripped tighter onto the steering wheel before making a sharp turn on the left.

"Step on the brakes," Yoshinori ordered the leader.

"Why?" Hyunsuk asked out of confusion without following Yoshi's order.

Staring outside the car window, Asahi has an uncomfortable look all over his face. He could sense that something bad is ahead of them.

"Stop the damn car, Choi Hyunsuk," Yoshinori hissed.

"I am asking you why," Hyunsuk fired back in annoyance.

"What's going on?" asked Jaehyuk, having no idea on what is happening.

"Just step on the fucking brakes!" Asahi shouted with both of his hands gripping on his hair.

Hyunsuk immediately stepped on the brakes, making the four of them to let out heavy breathes.

"Dead end," Yoshinori announced before heading out of the car. "They tricked us."

"Then, where are the others?" with his shaky voice, Jaehyuk asked after getting out of the car.

"This isn't happening."

The eyes of the three boys landed on Asahi when the quiet boy suddenly spoke. Hyunsuk immediately went up to the latter, his gaze following where the eyes of the Japanese boy were glued on.

"No, no," Hyunsuk muttered under his breath, his head shaking repeatedly.

Curiosity crept on Yoshinori on why Asahi and Hyunsuk suddenly started to act strangely. Following the gaze of the two boys, Yoshinori walked towards the broken sign which says 'dead end'. He looked down onto the cliff at the end of the road.

There he saw Jihoon's car, burning down into flames.

"Damn it," Yoshinori cursed, not knowing what to do after seeing the sight under. He turned around to face the rest of the boys, but it caught him off guard.

There was Bang Yedam, pointing a gun under the chin of the leader, Choi Hyunsuk.

"What a terrible sight to see, hmm?" Yedam grinned, pointing the gun deeper under Hyunsuk's chin. "That's what you get for killing one of us earlier before the elimination even began," he told Yoshinori.

"He was about to shoot me first," Yoshinori defended.

"Oh, please," laughed Yedam. "He was going to shoot Jang Yunhee, not you, you freaking idiot!"

Yoshi only cocked an eyebrow. "Is that so?" he coldly spoke.

"Yeah, right," another voice spoke, owned by Terazono Keita. "I shot the tire of Jihoon's car for fun," he said before pointing a gun behind Asahi's head. He then took out another gun that he sneakily stole from Jihoon earlier, pointing it at the center of Jaehyuk's back.

"There's no way out, Kanemoto Yoshinori," said Yedam. "Surrender now, or you will face death."

For the first time in a while, Yoshinori laughed mischievously.

"I'd rather die, assholes."

And with that, Yoshinori jumped off the cliff without thinking twice.
