The warm summer breeze of midnight made Yoshinori let out a breath of relief with his eyes closed. It made his inner self to calm a bit from all of the thoughts that he has in mind. Where he is right now is on the bench by the riverside where he kissed Yunhee despite him being tipsy.
"I guess I really am a jerk," he mumbled with his head hung low, eyes still closed. "I could not even puzzle how I really feel for her─wait, do I even have feelings for her? I don't know." He groaned and buried his face on his palms.
Yoshinori could not figure out how he would sort his thoughts and feelings. They are all scattered inside him, just roaming wherever.
"I shouldn't have kissed her that night."
"You regret it now?"
With a quick turn to look behind him, Yoshinori was greeted by Yunhee's presence. He froze on his seat as he was not expecting the young lady. "When did you came back?" he asks, trying to sweep himself away.
"Yesterday," Yunhee briefly responded. "So, did you regret kissing me that night?"
"It's not like that," mumbled Yoshinori. "I just can't figure out myself on do I have feelings for you or I'm just taking responsibility on what I did─fuck, I don't know, Yunhee."
The girl nodded her head as she understood what Yoshinori is trying to tell her. "The reason why I left is to actually sort out my feelings for you," says Yunhee. "I wanted to bleach my brain and erase that memory of mine of what happened that night."
Yoshinori let out a bitter smile before motioning on Yunhee to sit beside him. She slowly walked towards the bench, occupying the empty space beside the lad on the bench.
"I'm sorry," said Yoshinori. "I know I shouldn't have done that and thought of anything else─"
"Do I resemble her?"
"Pardon?"
"Do I resemble her?" Yunhee repeated. "I mean, that queen of yours."
Yoshinori's gaze sharpened upon the sudden question. "Why would you suddenly bring her up on this?" He asked, voice almost sounding like a growl.
"Because Yunseo told me," Yunhee responded. "He told me that she resembles me a lot. When I saw her on that polaroid of you two together, we kinda look like each other."
"You are nothing like my queen, Jang Yunhee," the male scoffs. "You are far from her."
"Then, fuck off." Yunhee said, almost wanting to scream the words on Yoshinori's face. "Yunseo told you to stay away from me, but you never listen. Look at us now, we are all confused on what we really feel for each other."
"You could've avoid my damn presence, but you chose to chase the shit in me."
"Me? Chasing you? What the hell are you trying to say?"
"Goodness, Jang Yunhee. You would always approach me back then even though I am trying to walk away from you."
"Blame yourself because you couldn't stop trying to kiss me."
After saying the words, Yunhee stood up from the bench with tears streaming down her face. Yoshinori only looked at her coldly as he did not regret any single word that rolled off of his tongue.
"I can now see how much of a jerk you are," Yunhee whispered as she started to sob. "And I am not sorry to tell you that."
Yunhee then left with quiet sobs escaping from her lips. Meanwhile, Yoshinori sat still on the bench with his usual cold stare watching Yunhee who is slowly disappearing on his vision.
"Cool," Yoshinori mouthed out as he leaned his back on the bench, his eyes on the flowing river once again. "That was so fucked up, but at least she's gonna be away from me."
There was a moment of silence before Yoshinori felt something hard pointed on his nape, followed by the sound of the gun being loaded.
"Shame on you. Being by yourself is hard, isn't it?"
"I'll get used to it, Yedam," Yoshinori calmly says. "They'll just call my name whenever they need me. They would not let me go because I am a big loss to them─simply showing that I am useful to them."
Yedam retracted the gun away from Yoshinori, facing it on the ground. "It's because you got that beauty and brain, Kanemoto. It's up to them if they wanted to keep or set you free. It might be disappointing─"
Before Yedam could even finish what he was about to say, someone grabbed the gun out of his grip and that person repeatedly hit the back of Yoshinori's head using the gun. Yoshinori's consciousness left himself as his body fell from the bench to the ground.
"What the fuck, Keita?!" Yedam yelled at the latter. "What have you done?!"
"Did that for personal reasons," Keita responded as he handed the bloodstained gun back to Yedam.
"You did that because of what said to Yunhee earlier?" Yedam scoffs. "Can't you calm the hell down?"
With an eyebrow raised, Keita gave Yedam a look. "Byounggon wanted to get him. Now, move your ass and help me bring him to our place."
Yedam had no choice but to obey. It was their leader's order in the first place.
"Oh, by the way," Keita mouthed out as he stood in front of Yoshinori's unconscious body on the ground, eyeing Yedam with a playful smile. "I hit him a little too hard as I've heard what he said to Yunhee. I just got carried away by rage."
